  1. They didn't show how they put in that obnoxious sound though
  2. This is great, now everyone can go from the city to Police. The perfect drift for all those monster brown trout.
  3. I think it is difficult to compare a rather sterile river like the upper Bow and a lake
  4. Well that looks like something worth investigating
  5. Thanks for the post
  6. Invertebrates will quickly recolonize. A year of rest or very low fish stocking would let the bugs rebound even better
  7. Well Albertatrout perhaps you are right regarding the suckers. We never saw any there when we used to take the kids there for burbot, but with no walleye, the suckers could be a huge food sink. I was dreaming of another quality lake beside BH south of Calgary. We need another glacier to dig out a fresh pond for trout fishing.
  8. Having used nets to remove 100,000+ perch out of Sundance lake with no effect, I would suggest that angling pressure would have little to no effect on the perch population. The answer is Rotenone !
  9. The walleye are getting pretty ancient. I wonder how much longer they would live with the water temperatures present. It will go from a "frenzy" to nothing pretty quickly I imagine
  10. They used to put over 100,000 in both Police and BH. Now that they put only a fraction of that in those lakes they could throw all those excess fish in Pine Coulee. Under 50,000 would probably work to start with
  11. This would be a great trout lake. Lots of scuds and boatman and a few minnows. Fish contain mercury so they would be undesirable for the table....perfect!!!!! A trophy trout lake closer to Calgary would be well used. Big winds would make for good tube surfing as well. You must do what the Legend Troutlover tells you to do
  12. Once the wind gets above 25km/hr a 15lb anchor is not going to hold

Well those look very nice. What a great way to use up some time. I don't collect butterflies, but you will be able to do it in style now
  16. Patagonia has taken a bold move in response to Utah Governor Gary Herbert’s decision to rescind the Bears Ears National Monument. Politicians in Utah have been making many decisions that reject the needs of ecosystems as well as access to state lands and rivers. The Venturing Angler applauds Patagonia on this move. From Patagonia: “Utah Gov. Gary Herbert signed a resolution on Friday urging the Trump administration to rescind the Bears Ears National Monument, making it clear that he and other Utah elected officials do not support public lands conservation nor do they value the economic benefits – $12 billion in consumer spending and 122,000 jobs – that the outdoor recreation industry brings to their state. Because of the hostile environment they have created and their blatant disregard for Bears Ears National Monument and other public lands, the backbone of our business, Patagonia will no longer attend the Outdoor Retailer show in Utah and we are confident other outdoor manufacturers and retailers will join us in moving our investment to a state that values our industry and promotes public lands conservation.“ – Rose Marcario, President and CEO, Patagonia, Inc.

  20. Do reverse wrist curls....palms down, lift weight up. Strengthens forearms, found it protects you from tennis elbow issues
  21. Don't you just float down the middle the river for the whole day with your bobber out the side?
  22. Zactily!
  23. Setting the hook does seem to help stick the point in...
  24. Unfortunately insurance companies and $ disagree with you
