Carl is bang on. Too bad the government is so afraid to police/punish industry. Anglers are an easy target with no backlash, and therefore the government can have the "appearance" of doing something by changing some recreation regs.
My old Graphite IV 8126-3 thought 550 was too light. Not sure how this old rod compares to a ONE, but it is pretty stiff. I tried a 600 and things were better
Happy with my Lumix TS3.
New model is Lumix DMC TS30 I believe. Simple to use, like the quality of shots and takes and pretty good video for a cheap camera
I think numbers really depend on the flow rate in the river (in Bolivia?). The fish move up to spawn I believe and timing is everything. Kind of like steelheading.
Perhaps Dave at Fish Tales has done this?

Too funny Bron. Yesterday my friend left his Orvis Helios and Mirage reel sitting in the bottom of the boat while he fished with his $25 first prototype TFO rod from 25 years ago and an ancient SA reel....the fish didn't even know when they were landed with such poor quality equipment
