  1. ahem.....that would be hypocrisy.
  2. I love dogs. I prefer them to people most times, but sometimes............ bummer Doc.
  3. I didn't grow up in the city and my childhood consisted largely of outdoor adventure. Extreme outdoor conditions only heightened the adventure. Think arctic expeditions or Vietnam reenactments in torrential downpours. Bike riding, tree climbing, fire starting, critter shooting, rock throwing good times. Then again we never even had cable T.V until I was probably 8 or 9. The most common thing I see most kids do these days is stare blankly at some screen or another, adults too as far as that goes. I'm doing it as I type this. Technology is wonderful!
  4. Well done. I can imagine myself having these same thoughts on a river bank somewhere. Thanks for sharing.
  5. I've heard nothing bad about maui jims....'cept the price. Take care of those babies.
  6. Sucks dude. I had a bad rash a few years back and had my truck hit 3 times in a 30 day stretch and know how it feels to be at the end of your rope. The police are useless with these smash and grab idiots, they never stick around long enough to get caught. Auto glass is expensive and a pain in the ass to fix, having your auto stolen from outside your home is a shitty feeling. I can't hold it against Jay for what he did, it's a risky thing to do and thankfully he wasn't stabbed or something. Will any luck these turds will get caught.
  7. Not fishing related or fiction for that matter although it does read like a story, "The black grizzly of whiskey creek" by Sid Marty. I thought it was a great book by a local author.
  8. Niiiiiiice cast. Even the most realistic soy dog won't fool the strictest veggies though, good thing they feed more regularly so you got a good chance of hooking up.
  9. Funny I was thinking the same thing, grab a ruler and drop 'em boys.
  10. Find a good butcher. There is much to know about meat, then all it takes is a hot grill and some salt. my .02$
  11. How much rum do you have to drink to think that's a good idea? bbrrrrrrr.
  12. "quote"Funny how the oil sands area is the worlds largest natural oil spill. We have many companies up there cleaning up natures mess, yet they are criticized. Hell we should be thanking them for their clean up efforts. What would it look like if civil disobedience and criticism was continually perpetuated/hurled upon the folks who were cleaning up Prince William Sound years after the Exxon Valdez spill?"quote" Never heard this slant before. I guess we should feel fortunate.
  13. Make one dude. Some old skis and a little imagination goes a long way. *caution* there is potential for serious speed here!
  14. Lots of good advice here and here's my .02$. To me the MOST important thing is fit. Fit to your face and fit under a helmet as has already been said. If they fit nice, then fog will be less of an issue. I would recommend buying a lid and goggles at the same time if possible. I don't think you really need to spend too much money until you really figure out what you want, I like oakley myself and as wes said you can find good deals at places like sport check. Should find something fair for under a 100$ for sure. Remember they all get trashed and left in chalets or on roofs of cars no matter how much you spend .
  15. I think hearing the guys laughing is what makes this clip awesome. The international sound of *hit getting wrecked.
  16. Maybe it's time again. Good sustainable protein, no poaching of course just well managed harvest. Could start with penitentiaries, and maybe then to emergency wards. Salvage the good viable organs and meat out the rest. Probably not the most tasty but abundant. I don't feel real good about the hunting of dolphins, seems a bit savage.....whales too. Where do you draw the line?
  17. Plus it seems to me they're being guided.
  18. I agree with you on many points there Don. Can't get over the cloth floor mats and don't care for the electronic hubs myself. The plastic that encompasses the body doesn't hinder is 4x4 capabilities so much as your truck will look like crap if you do actually off road with it. I can see how chains could pose a problem, I want to get a pair for this winter but never thought of how they'd no doubt chew up the wheel flares. Over all I'm pretty happy with how the truck is getting me where I need to go. It's light weight and compact size offer advantages over full size trucks IMHO. I'm not fooled into believing this is the Toyota from days past but is still leaps and bounds over your average NA auto.
  19. Wow, that thing is pretty mint. Not too many vehicles made in '78 that you could ask that kind of money for, it probably didn't cost that much new. Nice truck though.
  20. Mine's alright, gets me from point a to point b
  21. Well I just really don't know what to say.....nice fish.
