Dread rear, my god no wonder this happened.I once had a guy from dread rear ask me at what elevation does a moose become an elk!

With the flood I too have been playing more,even a couple of 39's this year!But With fall approaching and a new dog my passion for fishing has been sparked lately and will be on the river every chance I get for the rest of the year. $100 for 4 1/2 hrs of frustration starts to get to ya after awhile.

Those that know me will understand as I always have to rig something up,I drill a small hole in the ice 9' away from the hole.I have a pole maybe 4' long attached is a lag bolt that screws into the ice on the other end is a rod holder that the cork slides into.Tye on a nymph rig and presto ice fishing with a flyrod!

Ya nothing wrong with it,if you drive up the bar a bit its a little deeper but the gravels soft.Most are using it straight out you'll see the tracks, there it will have been compacted a bit.

Pending on its condition .Any soft spots?Do any areas need replacing?My guess is the fir plywood has started to check.This is common.Needs to be sanded and glassed over to protect the ply. Most wood boats were just oiled,if so then the rest can be just cleaned and re oiled no sanding required. Maybe a few pics would help.

Yes,on the river I only let out about 15' so no time at all.When I'm lake fishing 50' takes awhile say maybe 2 minutes but who cares I don't pull anymore!I have a 42lb anchor.It comes with a davit so you can mount it right on top,i think you have to use the minn. anchor though for it to work.You have to be able to take the weight off of the winch when not in use or the sheer pin will go ,if you have a heavy anchor.

I was sick of pulling also,now I just push a button. I had to drill out the rivets to open the bow area but overall not a hard job.

Back in the day you could buy 50 and 100 packs of mustad hooks at walmart for cheap.I still have some of those packs.

Well my search has ended! Meet , 'River' , Came from the city pound,shes about 6 months old and 40lbs.Mix of breeds hard to tell.Webbed feet long tail.Maybe Shepard collie lab?? Seems to listen well.Start training classes in a couple of weeks!

If you look at the flows of Calgary +Highwood and the flows at Carseland it would appear that more then half of the flow is bypassing the weir.Not sure how they're going to fix that berm that gave away.

Where's copper jonny with pics of Police? if the berm is still there then theres still hope.

Was down there today,all looks OK, too bad.

Had to be there,everyone was doing 40 with lots of people stopped.Was very easy to pull in and leave. Just because the radio said it was dangerous..well you know.You'd had a harder time getting out of Chinook mall on a Sunday.

in 05 we were hit on june 7-8th then again on the 18th.it took a month for the flows to drop below 200.i remember the fishing to be good as I had to go to different spots because police was washed out. Rick did the berm at police hold?would be a shame to lose that again.
