2 group 31 battery's hooked together is what i use and i get 4 nights.Wife has the furnace on most nights and its a blower type.We also have a shower each. But remember your not suppose to drain your battery's past 50% i think. 2 battery's and a small gen set is what you need.Theres no solar panel that can compare to a gen set for the price.

I had a good laugh when i saw this.They pulled up right beside this kid dropped anchor and flung out a couple buzz bombs.They didn't say a word.The kid pulled anchor and left.

Ya your right the pawl is switched for left and right retrieve that has to stay on.Well you could remove it for pinning i guess. The click can be removed. Maybe its just a BC salmon thing.They like the sound of reeling in i guess.

Half your line weighs what 10 grams say 5wt WF, that's not gonna change the balance that much.

I found i prefer butt heavy to tip heavy. I have a 6wt 10' very tip heavy rod.I have a 8-9 wt reel on it that is still to light.I found the constant pull of the tip on your wrist makes it uncomfortable.Once i added some weight to the reel it feels better and doesn't pull down anymore. I'm no pro,i just no what feels right.

All this talk about reels thought i would ask a question. I've bin fondling the LX series lately and noticed the "click" sound is louder on the way in then compared to going out.Both shops i have bin to say the clicker can be turned off but only on the out going end.This is very strange to me,I thought they had them set up backwards but i was assured they weren't. Why are they like this?

Take your 8 wt or what ever tip heavy rod you have and go fish it for a day with a very light reel on it.Feels funny and will make your wrist sore after a few hours.

I have a 5wt WF and 50yds of gel spun backing and its full.I think your pushing it on a 6wt.

I have a 3 on my 5wt,my goto Bow reel. Nice reel only problem with mine is it freezes up in the below 0 stuff.Tight tolerances i guess. I also put type 6 sink on it and use it for deep lakes,great trolling reel.

Take a small tire tube maybe 12" put it inside a duffel bag tie it up under your back rack.Fill it up with air 3-5 psi you can now put a group 31 battery on it The bag will also act as a rutter and help you steer straight. Don't laugh it works.

Go to Blackfoot Motor sports they have Kipor and Honda's.You can start them both,the Kipor will start on the 5th pull the Honda on the first. Kipor's are for construction, Honda's are for camping.If i see a Kipor in a campsite i won't camp by them.

The best bird dog i have seen came from the bargain finder.2 year old female lab,the owners were separating and they had to get rid of the dog.She points retrieves and will not give up on a bird.No formal training just a few days in the Field.Best of all the dog was free. After seeing a few bird dogs come and go in my life the females were the best. Happy dog hunting.

I had a Metzler boat,it had plastic tubs that went from pontoon to pontoon (across) had a seat on it and made for some dry storage.You could easily make something out of wood. I also had some rubber mounts glued to the toons,this made it easier to attach things too like rod holders and fish finders. Theres a shop in town here that deals with inflatables check them out, very friendly people.I can't remember their name.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but if you have a motor on your boat under 6m you need it.
