  1. I have built all kinds of anchors, heres a good one to try and copy 12lb will do what you want.Stay away from pointy things pontoons don't like them. Also having a large lighter anchor will hold just as well as a small heavy anchor as the current helps push the anchor down. As far as coating goes i wouldn't worry about it anything you put on will be worn off the first time you use it.Mines all steel and has very little rust on it.I shine it up every time i use it. If your going to use 12 lbs or better you better have a good pulley system. Also use bigger rope its easier on the hands. Its always good to have knife with you and don't put a knot in the end of the rope if you get into trouble you can just let the rope go out.

  3. Taco is this off e bay or somewhere else?PM me if you like.
  4. So whats all included on #17?1 or 2 anglers and where is the trip or do you get to pick?
  5. 2 group 31 battery's hooked together is what i use and i get 4 nights.Wife has the furnace on most nights and its a blower type.We also have a shower each. But remember your not suppose to drain your battery's past 50% i think. 2 battery's and a small gen set is what you need.Theres no solar panel that can compare to a gen set for the price.
  6. I had a good laugh when i saw this. They pulled up right beside this kid dropped anchor and flung out a couple buzz bombs. They didn't say a word. The kid pulled anchor and left.
  7. Chronomids and head to BC.
  8. Ya your right the pawl is switched for left and right retrieve that has to stay on.Well you could remove it for pinning i guess. The click can be removed. Maybe its just a BC salmon thing. They like the sound of reeling in i guess.
  9. Half your line weighs what 10 grams say 5wt WF, that's not gonna change the balance that much.
  10. I found i prefer butt heavy to tip heavy. I have a 6wt 10' very tip heavy rod.I have a 8-9 wt reel on it that is still to light.I found the constant pull of the tip on your wrist makes it uncomfortable.Once i added some weight to the reel it feels better and doesn't pull down anymore. I'm no pro,i just no what feels right.
  11. All this talk about reels thought i would ask a question. I've bin fondling the LX series lately and noticed the "click" sound is louder on the way in then compared to going out. Both shops i have bin to say the clicker can be turned off but only on the out going end. This is very strange to me,I thought they had them set up backwards but i was assured they weren't. Why are they like this?
  12. Ya thats a dead giveaway.
  13. Take your 8 wt or what ever tip heavy rod you have and go fish it for a day with a very light reel on it.Feels funny and will make your wrist sore after a few hours.
  14. I have a 5wt WF and 50yds of gel spun backing and its full.I think your pushing it on a 6wt.
  15. I have a 3 on my 5wt,my goto Bow reel. Nice reel only problem with mine is it freezes up in the below 0 stuff.Tight tolerances i guess. I also put type 6 sink on it and use it for deep lakes, great trolling reel.
  16. haben eine großartige Zeit in Deutschland.
  17. I was thinking of having it set up so that half your matches you would be home and the other half visitor.Home would pick the spot to fish or place to meet.Thoughts?
  18. So i see 23 people,if lethfisher drops then its 22. So lets call this full. I edited my last post, i meant to say second week of April. So once i have confirmation that everybody is in I;ll make a schedule. Post here or send me a PM to confirm your in.
