No offense, but comparing having your feet down from a pontoon to the way your entire lower half is down from a float tube is like comparing apples to oranges. A float tube can and will get turned over if you run aground in shallower water, whereas a pontoon is stable enough to ride it out, and you CAN tuck your legs up when you get into trouble. I'd never, ever, ever, ever float the bow in a tube... or any river for that matter. one mistake and your done. Once it is upside down it's pretty much game over.

I keep them locked up nice and tight all the way through the fight jump or no jump, keep hard tension on them, as much as possible without breaking the line. You'll get to know your limits and your gear's limits but when you're right up against those limits you will only lose 10-20% of your fish and the other 80% are in your net.

Tip # 1 ( a ) A man can fish his whole life before realizing it's not fish he's after. Tip # 1 ( b ) No food tastes better than the food eaten after a day on the water!!

Thanks guys! I did get out fishing, on the crow, from hwy 507 down and had a bit of a tough one but got a few nice fish to hand despite the rain/snow/sun/wind (repeat 7 times) weather mix!

so who thinks they have a shot at the playoffs? too little too late? are we just going to finish in 10th or 9th again and get a bad draft pick again (do we even have one this year??) If our draft pick for next draft is traded away (wouldn't suprise me with all sutter's bad moves, he was a good coach but a TERRIBLE gm...) if the pick isnt there go for the playoff spot it cant hurt... if we do get a pick, TANK IT NOW BOYS you suck and your best efforts barely beat a hapless leafs team last night. I love the flames to death but they are going to have to suck rottenly for a few years here and rebuild through the draft. The window for this team has closed. Too old, too slow now...

College took up most of my time in april to jan, and again in sept to december. I did not get out fishing very much during those times. My summer, however, was great. Spent a lot of time on waters near home here and quite honesty have no real need to travel much more than a half hour anymore for great fishing Had fun on the Bow and Crow too. Had a great day with an old buddy in the middle of summer. Had some phenomenal days guiding. It was a great summer.

My dad has been looking into getting a camera with a incredible macro function. I know some of you have posted pictures on here that blew my mind... I saw one of a midge where I could count hairs on the legs... so... which camera should I get him to try?? Example pics would be great... Large US cities that have these systems also have an ALTERNATE route!!!! Salt Lake City, for example, has the I-15 or the I-215. they both go thru the city. Phoenix has several freeways going through it too. Calgary has ONE!!!!!!!!!! what a bloody waste of your money up there folks. Even if you tell people there going to be stuck for an hour.... what are they going to do about it other than be MORE ticked off? This must have been brought in by the same high powered brain that thought up the Deerfoot-Glenmore interchange. brilliant.

The game against detroit this afternoon is exactly what pisses me off to no end as a Flames fan. THAT ONE WAS DECIDED BY THE IDIOTS IN STRIPES!!!!!! enough said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 to 5 in total penalties called, plus calling flames for excatly the same stuff det was doing, and calling it in the latter part of the 3rd so detroit could conveniently have a chance to tie it. Agreed. Gio. If you read back into this thread a ways you'll see that for many of us, our "love affair" with the Sutter bozo's was over ... ohh... a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago...... Until we have completely new management from top to bottom this team will never reach it's full potential. The players do not want to play for the Sutter's and it shows.
