  1. you can always get your reel spooled the other way so you reel with your left. Casting right reeling right is an american thing, true canadians cast right reel left.
  2. I twisted in some red flash and use black red dubbing and had some luck with it at bullshead on the weekend
  3. The furled leaders are great i haven't had a lot of time to use them but here is what i can say so far they turn over great! especially when using heavy rigs. Also i used them tonight on my community lake and they were turning over 15 feet of leader like nothing. One feature that is wicked is the swivels tied into the end. I cant wait to try them on the dry next week hopefully as things warm up! should start seeing some snouts in the evenings. also cant wait to use the nymph rig with the built in indi on some small streams i know that have some of the spookiest trout I've ever had the pleasure to belly crawl to. I'll post more as i use them thank to rick for letting me try em and thanks to Mike they work awesome.
  4. i am lovein' this one thanks guys !! fun tie.
  5. I love rainbows they are the ultimaate for me my favorites are the 16" to 19" class they seem to be the most bad ass cutting running jumping no strategy for evading capture just balls out panic.

  11. there is what the media say and there is what the educated say. The economy is as bad as she's going to get but it is going to stay the same for a while till they sort *hit out and then she's going to turn and re-grow. Interest rates are at the lowest they have ever been and we can expect them to not go up for a year and if they double we are still looking at the lowest rates ever. Now is the time to borrow cheap money and make investments, buy houses and turn expensive debt into the cheapest debt we have ever had the opportunity to finance. Soon all the spectators are going to quit listening to the media and start looking to the facts and we are going to see people start to spend and jobs return. I think your going to see more people fishing this year and booking guides with the rat race we were all running during the boom i think this slow down brings us into more normal work hrs. and more time to focus on family and the hobbies we love.
  12. perfect! now that is some good research!
  13. i think shes ment to be looked at after a few pints
  14. Oh my gosh!! do you realize the power you've given him!!!??????
  15. Hey man first three weeks of june is a great time to fish the BOW...... Great! streamer action, no crowds, lots of rain the fish are starting to feed hard i don't think you'll be disappointed try to hook up with members from the board to show you around. People don't have such a hard time taking people that live half way around the world to their favorite spots as long as they promise to go home.....but who knows after you get a taste of the BOW i promise it's going to be hard to get back on that plane. Another nice thing about June is it's some of our longest days light out past ten p.m. so night fishing is in full swing and fishing till 2a.m on the BOW is a little piece of magic. Drop me a line when you arrive and i'll show you why June absolutely does not suck. Edit:if your going to be here after june 16th bring the three weight thats when the small streams open.
  16. im not familiar with sea run cutts west coast or east and are they like steelhead living in the ocean and spawning up the rivers?

  19. Ya right you just brought out all the big ones from your freezer trying to recruit your forces of death before the ice comes off.
  20. It will be interesting to see how the economy affects the guiding business. I know that in times of economic trouble in the golfing industry it seems that there is an increase in business i don't know why but maybe people have more time don't know.

I am sorry for your loss. I hope great memories will comfort you in this time of trial. Just to share as i looked at the picture even though his back is to the camera i can tell he's smiling and i pesonaly felt that stisfaction that comes from being in a beautiful place and feeling that tug at the end of the line. Thank-you for sharing.
  22. Your friend has an awesome gift. Very cool pictures.
  23. No matter where i fish i long for the Bow, a great day somewhere else always plays in my mind a second to the Bow. Calgary is an easy choice for me. I live 2 min from the river i can't even imagine moving further than i am now. If i ever move so far away that the caddis flies aren't sitting on the window screens........ please slap me and take my rod.
  24. Me and my buddies used to put cinder blocks in paper bags on the road to this day i will never run over a box or bag on the road. Those little assholes could be hiding in the bushes.
