  2. must be bait fishermen
  3. I got a woody
  4. no i fish scuds under an indicator i hardly ever find sinking lines useful in lake fishing unless trolling or in deep water retriving chronies straight up from the bottom. 80% of my lake fishing is with a floating line and long leaders with split shots if i want to get down a little.
  5. just fished a 5wt tonight that i got on friday it is really good lots of backbone loads REALLY nice i would recommend it.
  6. they don't want anyone IN the water you are not allowed to swim in the Glenmore. I dont know why i just remember that from high school gym there are no fish in there anyways.

  8. Ya i like the one with the back light to ..... it blocks out you face! :flames:
  9. fast action takes a more line than other rods in that wt to properly load the tip. I fish with a 6wt ticr i LOVE them but thats just cuz it's what im used to suits my casting style that said ive fished with a buddies sage and i didn't exactly hate that either
  10. The other night when i reported a poacher I was not in fish creek park and i was contacted by the conservation officer from the park because the RAP guys mistakenly thought i was in fish creek. Here is the interesting part...... What happens is when you call RAP their office is in the north they do not cover the provincial parks only the officers assigned to the park cover the parks. SO if you report something in the park they call the park officers and they go... if you are out side the park the call goes to the guys up north who usually can't make it down to the south.... what i learned last night is the park CO's have no problem taking a call outside of the park to help out if they are not tied up So he told me to call a number 403 297 5293 this is the park office line. He said if you call during business hrs they will get the report right away if you call outside business hrs. LEAVE A MSG! they check it every 1/2hr. By the way they came FAST! no bust the poachers had left but they are there all the time so these poachers are going down this year for sure. It's close to my house so I'm going to swing by a bunch this week to try and bust them. I told the CO this and he gave me his cell.... let "poacher sting 2011 begin" mmmwwwhahaha!!!!!

Im a big beliver in a good line presentation is key i do have my favorites so i rarely deviate from what i know.

  19. HI just wondering if anyone can tell me if the reserve areas are open all year round to camping or are they seasonal. I am planing a spring camp for some youth and the area we usually go to is snowed in for some reason the road never got plowed this year. I'm in a bind to find an area that we don't have to book and is free.Is 532 open between 22 and the FTR? does it get plowed and is camping allowed along the 532 or do we have to go all the way to the FTR and camp along the Livingstone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jared.
  20. Im looking into buying some maps for my GPS just wondering what ones people here use i am leaning towards the Backroads GPS program it seems to have more info than the standard hi def TOPO system. I have also seen the BushMap GPS program. Which one would you go with the BushMap one looks interesting. Thanks Jared.
  21. Im sure the government knows all this and would never comprimise the stability of our natural river systems and their native species.
