  1. Or through his crackbook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/KODIKO-Custo...ds/280514052389 P
  2. Unfortunately, the old adage, "give people an inch and they'll take a mile" comes into play way too often and they ruin it for the rest... Rick, where is the proper access? I know of the gate in between the highways on the north side, but I have to admit I think I use one of the cut outs when fishing the south as I do not know where you are speaking of?! Please clarify. P
  3. Inside the city limits, is definitely a no, not sure about outside - on Crown land I think it is ok, but again, not sure (I personally don't like them b/c they scar the land and when people cut down live trees and leave chard remains & garbage). Provincial park, outside of an official fire pit is a no, as well... Of course nothing during a ban! I'm working (volunteering) with SRD tomorrow, I could ask if they can answer that question... P
  4. Ryan, I was down at Alpine today at lunch dropping off some sandals for repair and inquired as to resoling wading boots... They do resole wading boots, but you need to purchase the resole kit from a retailer (Fly Shop) and they will put them on for you... They do about 6 - 8 wading boot resoles a year so not enough to stock the kits themselves... P
  5. Could be, but I had a pair of Redington CPS waders from a few seasons ago and they were shite!! P
  6. Jeff remember our long weekend is July 1st - July 3rd!! P
  7. Yes and no... I'd definitely say, they are more breathable, and have a better warrantee. All waders will eventually leak, that's a given! Go with the highest quality gear that you can afford (that fit properly). P P.S I personally wouldn't put Redington in the same category as Simms (But you left out a bunch of brands that are)!
  8. I usually fish lower k towards the end of May and NO WAY any of the lakes in Kanikissyourasskiss will be fishable - unless we get +40 for the entire week. P
  9. x2 (+1) Yeah that's a little too logical for the AB Gov't! P
  10. Maybe try Alpine Shoe in Kensington (Gary and Donna Hamel) They are the goto place for all the climbers and mountaineers, so if anybody can replace your soles, they could!! P
  11. Brian, what I try to do as soon as I start seeing them is to cut them out... If I do it once a week, I usually get a bucket full, and if I keep at it, I can control them fairly well... The crux is that you have to get on them and keep on them or they will get out of hand fairly quickly... Oh and the obvious caveat is that your lawn is much larger then mine!! P
  12. I know Nigel (DrBullet) doesn't post a lot on here, but he made the news yesterday so I thought I'd pass it along!! So if you can, support the Ride to Conquer Cancer and the research that "DrBullet" himself conducts! http://www.globaltvcalgary.com/video/index...SKNclLrvcl9MA5_ Peter P.S. Here is the link to Nigel's donation page if you would like to donate! http://www.conquercancer.ca/site/TR/Events...&fr_id=1372
  13. I guess it would depend if you primarily fish lakes or streams... Personally, I mostly fish streams when in BC and using a single fly (most times) is a PITA (when nymphing)... I can definitely see an advantage using 2 rods if you fish lakes, though... P
  14. Yeah went out for a float yesterday and put in at 17th about 1130. At that point they shut the gates for the weir and it took about 1/2 an hour for things to murk up... Didn't do much for the fishing... P
  15. Yep, I've read up on those! Thanks, P
  16. Thanks Marc! That would definitely keep the water out! P
  17. Eaves troughs have been leaking in the corners for a few years so only rotting at the corners and the fascia needs to be replaced in a lot of spots so I figured I'd just replace it all!! P
  18. What does everyone keep their double bunnies, pike flies and other large streamers in (on the water - w & w not a boat)?! P P.S. A photo or description would be nice so I can look it up...
  19. Yeah some of the old fascia is rotted, so they will replace it, but I'm more concerned about the soffits... I want the old wood soffits removed/replaced and was wondering if that standard as they just quoted capping over it... Thanks, P
  20. Anyone experienced with this sort of thing?! I'm interested in getting new soffits, fascia and eaves troughs and have been getting a few quotes... It seems that they are just going to cover the existing wood soffits with aluminum (adding additional vents, as well), and I want all the wood removed... Is this standard procedure or should I get the quote to include removal of all the wood?! Also if anyone does this or has someone to recommend, please PM me... Thanks, Peter
  21. I just saw another one on kijiji in Edmonton for $300!! Yikes! P
  22. Wow... Misinformation from BPS... I'm shocked!! <--poke--< P
  23. What time of year?! I've had great luck with micro leeches and small streamers and in the summer dries (caddis, stimmies, ants, bwos, royal coachman, green/brown drakes, adams [both standard and irresistible], pmds, mosquitos, grif gnats, etc). P
  24. Like the man said, there are NO fish in Glenmore Rez!! <--poke--< P
