  1. Yeah its a bitch bein' on the receivin' end of a screwin' over for a change. A little retribution, no ?
  2. Gettin' stupid or it's as cheap as it's ever gonna be.....either/or And it was Red Truck/Leland who messed up. Their website clearly states USPS but they stuck it on a UPS truck for "expediency".
  3. Ever caught one hundred, two hundred out of a single 100 metre run? I have, more than once. Have I contributed to the decline? No doubt
  4. No idea if they're native above Lundbreck Falls or any of the larger falls in the system but there used to be huge runs iirc from below Lethbridge all the way to Racehorse and the Livingstone. Don't see that anymore.
  5. The Old Man drainage RMW is in trouble period. Almost every tributary's fall run has been minimal for yrs. While the population had been declining already in the 80's the OM dam pretty much wrote the end of the big spawning runs.
  6. Last and final update! UPS, in it's infinite brown wisdom and +/- 35 days, decided to classify the shipment as abandoned in spite of having no record of ever trying to contact either the receiver or shipper. I'll give Brown one thing, their tracking system is very good because it was me keepin' an eye on that summbitch and contacting the shipper that we averted a disappeared rod. All is good.. I got a complete refund and I found and bought a mint still with hang tags Sage SP 690-2. In case anyone notices.... I'm not a "latest and greatest" guy anymore. They quit buildin' SPs in '02 PS, the brokerage bill for $85.26 got here today too... efficient buggers.
  7. I don't know Dick they were breakin' 12wts. I believe I'll reserve that rod for 30lb pike.
  8. Or is that why we never see anything from humblefisherman anymore??
  9. Corn flakes get pissed in again Jay? Myself i want the spud cannon at the end.
  10. Well I guess Brown charges storage fees on top of it's usual brokerage fees as the rod been sittin' in Calgary for 13 days. Phoned customer service and was advised of another minimum 3 day wait and a total shipping/brokerage/GST bill north of 100 bucks on a $199 USD clearance item. Let them know that I would be refusing delivery when it does show up and contacted the seller. Full refund comin' when it shows at their warehouse. Also shows I shouldn't impulse buy, was advised if I had contacted the sellers they would have shipped USPS. Friggin' Brown!!!!
  11. Nope still sittin' in Calgary, drawin' out the suspense I guess.
  12. Yeah I know but given my druthers I'd rather pay the thirty bucks than spend 2 hr bombin' around Kalgree between Customs and the UPS warehouse. I tend to get somewhat irritated with traffic about 5 minutes past the Macleod Deerfoot split. I'd rather drop an anvil on my foot.
  13. Loop rod update; Ordered the rod outta Cali which they shipped UPS, which I didn't realize until it was too late and am now awaiting the standard UPS brokerage surprise, 5 days to Calgary and it's now been sitting in Calgary for 6 days with a departure scan ready to be delivered to Claresholm. Brown must be busy.
  14. Schlumberger? Rickr's from Texas and knows what cows look like and he ain't that young anymore....
  15. Know your prices and learn all about cross border UPS. Merry Christmas Mike
  16. I's a dutchman Mike, I've been gettin' guide spools of Fluoroflex outta the Excited States for about half the cost all in
  17. I've dealt w/ReelFlyRod.com for Rio, they were OK. Not particularly to Rio but some decent clearance deals to be had, mrfc.com and/or tradenstuff.com and then there's good old Ebay
  18. Cripes man, it's Gull Lake Sk, just ask for the lady with all the norweigans
  19. Now! Now! Peter, after a crack like that I really think the asking price on your tundra pack should come down at least 20-30 bucks
