i love world cup...not all the teams or games are top shelf but you get to see all the big names playing thier guts out for thier respective countries. simply awesome. but i also get how it's not as popular as nascar. or bowling. or poker. or billiards. or the akc dog show. yeah, tough for football to compete with that...

classic. any ponce daft enough to dress up like a nancyboy and prance around in an enclosed space trying to torment and torture a pissed off 1500lb animal with horns truly has it coming.

unless there's something exceptional, i rarely grab for the camera anymore when i'm solo. a variety of reasons, many listed above. when i'm with someone i'm trying to focus on taking better photos now [lighting, composition, underwater, etc] when the opportunity presents/is appropriate as opposed to taking a pic of every fish. i'm still envious of many here who post some dem sweet money shot pix. but i'm i also out to enjoy the fishing more than the photography.

my mom was driving along a few weeks back when she saw the flash of a traffic camera. she figured that her picture had been taken for exceeding the limit even though she knew that she was not speeding. just to be sure, she went around the block and passed the same spot, driving even more slowly, but again the camera flashed. now she began to think that this was quite funny, so she doubled back and drove even slower as she passed the area once more, but the traffic camera again flashed. she tried a fourth and fifth time with the same results and was now laughing as the camera flashed while she rolled past at a snail's pace. two weeks later, she got five tickets in the mail for driving without a seat belt.

duanec replied to DonAndersen's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
i did not realize provincial parks had the same ban...goes to show how long it's been since i've been camping may long...too many snowstorms. although...that tends to keep the booze-fuelled sh*tstorms down to a dull roar... maybe they'll head for bc? -

at a senior's luncheon, an elderly gent and an elderly lady struck up a conversation and discovered that they both loved to fish. since both of them were single, they decided to go fishing together the next day. the gentleman picked the lady up, and they headed to the river to his drift boat and started out on their adventure. they were riding down the river when there was a fork in the river, and the gent asked the lady, 'do you want to go up or down?' all of a sudden the lady stripped off her waders and made mad passionate love to the man right there in the boat ! when they finished, the man was speechless, couldn't believe what had just happened, but he had just experienced the best sex that he'd had in years. hey fished for a while and continued on downstream, when soon they came upon another fork in the river. he again asked the lady, 'up or down ?' there she went again, stripped off her clothes, and made wild passionate love to him again. this really impressed the elderly gentleman, so he asked her to go fishing again the next day. she said yes and there they were the next day, riding in the boat when they came upon the first fork in the river, and the elderly gentleman asked, 'up or down ?' the woman replied, 'down.' a little puzzled and disappointed, the gentleman guided the boat down the river when he came upon the next fork in the river and he asked the lady, 'up or down ?' she replied, 'up.' this really confused the gentleman so he asked, 'what's the deal? yesterday, every time I asked you if you wanted to go up or down you made mad passionate love to me. now today, nothing!' she replied, 'well, yesterday i wasn't wearing my hearing aid and i thought the choices were f*#k or drown'

terry @ fishtales has the name of a guy he knows of that does repairs...i lost his name/number. i have the same sitch - few dings in the chines and some scratching etc. cosmetics aside...i have heard before that over normal wear & tear many boats don't perform quite as well if the bottom is too 'dull and scratchy' [sounds like some of my friends] with additional friction you just don't get up into that water cushion as quickly or easily, and because i row it most often when fishing with some of my dull & scratchy friends i'm considering having a fresh slick coat applied to the bottom of mine as well.
