no...the bottle i shared was from the source. a very very good friend decided i needed to be schooled. i was. i looked into procuring a bottle and found a store in ont. that had brought in a case, but i balked at the price tag...@350-400 if i recall.

wow. i love this thread. i prefer amber-->darks. white rum is good for some cocktails, but i still tend to use an amber for a better mojito. i also have found if i buy better quality rums, i don't want to mix them with anything. yum. once every couple months i try a new one. can't limit my list to the carribean...but here's some faves in no particular order: mount gay extra old [barbados] - my 'everyday rum' from the birthplace of rum doorleys xo - [barbados] - another standby zaya - an amazing breakfast rum [trinidad] ron zacapa cenatario - all are superb, but the xo is probs the finest rum i've ever tasted [costa rica] ron matuselum grand reserva - [cuba] [why are there so many rons?] el dorado - the aged stuff is good, finally landed a bottle of 21 and it's staggering [guyana] cruzan single barrel - amazing single barrel rum [st. croix] angostura - 1824 & 1919 [trinidad] gosling's black seal - best black rum ever, and reasonably priced [bermuda] i also like flor de cana alot, as well as pyrat xo and havana club is a good party/mixer rum. appleton's is not bad either.

wow. with the quantity of rum i consumed i coulda expected that from me. instead i just gave myself a novel new piercing. friggin lakes

was pretty inconsistent for everyone, a few hot rods here and there for an hour or so, then zip. oh and the weather was really nice as we broke camp to leave. good stress management though. nice place to hang for a week. friggin lakes.

i love world cup...not all the teams or games are top shelf but you get to see all the big names playing thier guts out for thier respective countries. simply awesome. but i also get how it's not as popular as nascar. or bowling. or poker. or billiards. or the akc dog show. yeah, tough for football to compete with that...

classic. any ponce daft enough to dress up like a nancyboy and prance around in an enclosed space trying to torment and torture a pissed off 1500lb animal with horns truly has it coming.

unless there's something exceptional, i rarely grab for the camera anymore when i'm solo. a variety of reasons, many listed above. when i'm with someone i'm trying to focus on taking better photos now [lighting, composition, underwater, etc] when the opportunity presents/is appropriate as opposed to taking a pic of every fish. i'm still envious of many here who post some dem sweet money shot pix. but i'm i also out to enjoy the fishing more than the photography.

my mom was driving along a few weeks back when she saw the flash of a traffic camera. she figured that her picture had been taken for exceeding the limit even though she knew that she was not speeding. just to be sure, she went around the block and passed the same spot, driving even more slowly, but again the camera flashed. now she began to think that this was quite funny, so she doubled back and drove even slower as she passed the area once more, but the traffic camera again flashed. she tried a fourth and fifth time with the same results and was now laughing as the camera flashed while she rolled past at a snail's pace. two weeks later, she got five tickets in the mail for driving without a seat belt.
