nebc Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Found the camera. Here's my latest tie, leeches. Nice one Jordo. What are the components of this fly? It looks about like something that Sheridan Lake BC flyfishers would do very well with for those monster rainbow there.

jordo Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Nice one Jordo. What are the components of this fly? It looks about like something that Sheridan Lake BC flyfishers would do very well with for those monster rainbow there. The tail is a combination black marabou and red/black leech hair. The body is a red black synthetic leech dubbing (cannot remember who makes it). Wing is a black strip of rabbit fur tied Zonker style with a red wire rib. Finally a red saddle hackle and a cone head complete the deal.
jjthom2 Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 The Olive Scud. Great scud pattern. Is that the eye on the hook or tiny mono eyes?
jordo Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Great scud pattern. Is that the eye on the hook or tiny mono eyes? Thanks, and yeah it's just the eye of the hook. But I think the next batch will have some melted mono eyes.
