Oh my god we're going to have to shut down Canada!!!! -
Each section of a VXP 590 is 28.5 inches. If you swung the centre of the tail up to the butt of the rod I think the nose would still be past the first section by at least 1/2", maybe 1". So my guess is 29 1/4".

Aeration Of Lakes May Come To End In Alberta

Hmmm, wonder if anyone has ever drown in wintertime beneath that or any other weir in Canada. Could make for a rather lucrative legal business pursuing all those responsible. I would have to think the Gov't of Canada would be at least partially to blame in any death beneath a weir considering they write the laws pertaining to these waterways....... just sayin' -
Aeration Of Lakes May Come To End In Alberta

Interesting outcome. I have to wonder how the University of Alberta gets away with producing an enormous hole in the North Saskatchewan river in Edmonton during winter months. Water from the North Saskatchewan River is used for cooling and condensing purposes. It is brought in and discharged at two points in the river just west of the High Level bridge. The discharge can prevent freeze up of the river for quite a distance. http://www.facilities.ualberta.ca/en/FO_Utilities/Chilled%20Water.aspx How about the Wabamun plants or any other production that creates open water during the winter months? Is there a different set of rules for the utility companies and university? Maybe the ACA can talk to the University's Legal department for some advice. -
Back Country User System, Could This Work?

How about any excessive garbage or destruction of the land results in the closing of the backcountry area for 6 months and fines of $100000 to the culprits. -

Yes punish those awaiting trial. That way we can have our back country full of child rapists and murderers, unconvicted of course. We know they're all guilty anyways. -

Wonderful idea for those that destroy our back country with OHV's and by other means, otherwise ridiculous, I pay my taxes. -
Aeration Of All Stocked Lakes Under Threat

263. (1) Every one who makes or causes to be made an opening in ice that is open to or frequented by the public is under a legal duty to guard it in a manner that is adequate to prevent persons from falling in by accident and is adequate to warn them that the opening exists. ACA is not making a hole or causing a hole to be made in the ice, they are preventing one from forming.- 11 replies

Buying A New Car Advice - Subaru
Weedy1 replied to sldrose's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
I did a Cars Cost Canada check on this vehicle. For a cash deal I found that you could get the $28,795 Forester 2.5 Convenience package in the link shown below for somewhere in the $30500-$31000 range, all in (Current Factory Incentive Programs, Freight, Dealer Advertising Charge, and GST). I bought a Honda Pilot after doing a Cars Cost Canada check. Over the phone I had a few dealers in Edmonton and surrounding areas find exactly what I put into the Cars Cost Canada site, bought it from Sherwood Honda. Walked in, test drove, wasn't upsold, sweetest car buying experience at a dealer ever. You will get emails from dealers if you sign up to Cars Cost Canada but if you want to save a few bucks it is well worth the price of having to sort through the emails. http://www.subaru.ca/WebPage.aspx?WebSiteID=282&WebPageID=19207&Range=Forester&ModelYear=2015 -
Is this in store only, can't find them online?

Nice fish Gary. Good year out there. If you watch the YouTube videos on those Ramphos plane/boats you have to wonder if the guys that fly them have a death wish. Not the most stable looking aircraft. I don't imagine the bottom of the boat acting like a second wing helps a lot.
