everything gets the dunkaroo for me... i clean all my gear regularly tho........... i dont think it wears down much.. it takes time too soak up water into the cork and everything else is prettymuch sealed....... reels are fine too getting wet.. only real worries would be backing... i could see after several years and a few hundred dunks too your backing might start to weaken enough too worry for trout..........

yup theres a sign at each entrance dude... think its 10 now..

not too take back my opinion but.....if u want too do some pike/heave streamer fishin and fishing nymphs streamer dry on teh bow i would say a spey forsure and something in teh 7-8wt range around 12 feet.......... i have bin using a 12' 6" 8wt for bullies and whatnot tossing a chopped skagit with any tip and some mega streamers if i wish and for the bow im tossing a 11'6" 8wt for streamers on teh bow with a chopped skagit system... both work great for underhand and overhand casting... havnt fished frmo a boat yet but frmo shore on lakes "surfcasting" is deadly.....

i think we are fine and iwll make it..... making things interesting thats forsure... all i gotta say if indeed the unlucky fluky stuff does happen and we are out and edmonton is in .......... give craig coach of the year and trade all but the the halfdozen guys who show up game in game out for calgary........ but we will be fine............. thanks terry -
indeed i do have a few for some of my switches and they do indeed make em small enough for your 4/5 switch dino.... two tone yello wtoo green... fish great with some nice small too mid weighted tips..... or bigger nymph rigs..... mykiss i here ya dude well said dude....

i will post a pic when i get home brownstone.. BUT the fish u caught was and is the same that were stocked from the bow into the oldman a while back... same with the reddeer river fish.... Don A.... please correct me if im wrong... i figure all the broonies in the bow arnt germans... no red spots and blue halos..... we may have a few different strains of broonies like toolman mentioned but the fact of the matter is in birchys pics he has fish that are pre and post spawn some juvenile some not and one from a different river.. diet. subspecies, and the whole enviroment around the fish can factor into color.. is it a prespawn brown or postawn brown ? juvenile or adult rainbow? makes a major difference in color even in teh same species.. seems we only have a few places in alberta were i have seen pics of fish that look german too me............. we all seem too forget that there a few a few dozen different sub species of browntrout throughout europe the middle east and africa.......... over a dozen in the uk/scottland/ireland .. i figure way back when they dumped a few ferox(big gator faces fish eaters according too lore) and other english brooneis into the bow maybe a few scottish or irish too... they all have the silver too dark gold in color. some more olive, some more purple and some more brown hues than others. but they all have the black spots heavy or light and i dont see no blue so to me they are frmo one of the islands.......

do u wana get your feet wet or take the plunge.. i take ou tmy switch from time too time when i wana do more single handed stuff and throw lighter rigs and whatnot and just mess around more with the overhand casting too.......... i would recommend a lightweight spey in teh 11-13 foot range 6 or 7wt........... sage loop scierra snowbee and g loomis all have a rod or two in that category
-
will stick with my cheap ol SA aircel for my single handers... 20-30 bucks works great for me the past few years.... useto fish lots of the 60-80 doller lines... fish em on high end or low end rods and toss em as far as u want... right too the backing... best part for me is no worries if i blow through one or two a year too cuz she is CHEAP! the 444 aint too bad either when shes on sale
-
sick fish dude! thanks for posting...congrats!!!!!
-
i here ya on teh practice with teh left hand up..is great too practice...really makes you watch too see all of your mechanics are right..found it made my right hand(stong side) casting much more effective..but usually im lazy and do cackhanded casts if need be...
-
go give it a test cast n see if u like the noise dude...gpx all the way

i think yall pretty much nailed it..best not too be messing with eachothers waters..we all have lots of room too share...there will be some conflicts i suppose but as long as common courtesy is held on both sides i think there shouldnt be too many problems...
-
ive fished a few realistic stones, caddis and mayflies. i find that they are pretty damn cool adn a great art piece......... but as far as my own tying im a impresionistic tier...profile/color kind of guy.........they dont need too be perfect too catch fish..unreal ties tho...but i have found they didnt really up my numbers compared to the ol standby patterns for the same bugs...
-
there both great dude..i love my optio btu a few of my friends have the olympus and it works great too.......if u find yourself dropping stuff lots the olympus has a higher shock value than the pentax
-
congrats dude!
-
sounds likyou need too work on you mending and striking dude..are oyu snaggin bottom much...or ever....your leader lengths should varry depending on were you are fishin same with your weight...but the biggest questions is....is your indi going down and are you hitting it every time......or waiting for it too stay down...if u have the right flies and right rig but your not hitting them takes quick..she can be a tough river.........
