  1. u betcha! im for liscencing guides! not really into teh rod day thing b.c. has going on! but we need a change asap!
  2. i would take a few feet off the back.. like 3 or 4 then maybe 2 off the front.. give it a cast and see were it is for u... like bowcane said it can be risky and u can wreck the line (ive messed around witha few dozen the last year and ahve lots of scrap lines kicking arounw now) then cast is.. if its still too heavy take another foot off the back.. u will be altering the taper of teh head no matter what you do so its up too ya too make it sutable for what you want too do with it!
  3. fish live in a place were they recieve no gravitational pull when taking them out of the water they are stressed.. lifting them up and down stresses out teh organs being pulled down.. and u can also rip and tear the gills under the gillplate.. gill plates too.. wich can lead too killing fish.. why not just grill your buddy? i do it all the time! ask him if he was held up by the throat how it would feel? probably painful and could kill him by collapsing his windpipe or cutting off blood flow too teh brain! if your a c& r fisherman u would think it would be in your best interest too limit fish handling and too keep them in the water for as long as possible too reduce stress and injury as much as possible...

  13. that is a tough picture too get a good id any of the guesses/id's above could be it really.. a lake maybe by the forked tail but whittie or pike woul have ibn my first guess... hard too say by the rocks but i would have figured teh fish too be a 16" er ish..... but if it was a 8lber being high 20's my guess would be laker or pike or sucker..... not many fish taht size out taht way and not teh right fins for a sturgeon as a long shot! but is almost ahs sucker like lips.....
