Fly Fishing Sacred Waters Hd
kungfool replied to humblefisherman's topic in General Chat - Fishing Related
Seriously, you should do a fly fishing show for WFN. In my opinion the ones they already show are poorly done, especially the new fly fisher. Your videos continue to improve and I would go as far as saying they are already better than the ones you see on the tube. Think about it, you have an amazing canvas to work with here in Alberta, you have natural talent in front of the camera and behind a fly rod. You also have a unique perspective and personality that would be hugely popular. The only thing I would like to see more of would be much more technique footage (casting, reading water, fly selection) with commentary. All of the shows out there besides Oliver Edwards are about 98% dragging fish to the shores which is about as boring as watching hicks, wearing what looks like NASCAR garb, drag bass to their boats every 30 seconds Common dude, it's about time you represent! -

Send Kaveman a pm. He just finished working on a project like this. -
I have been checked 3 times in 24 years and not in the last 11 years. It's unfortunate that most Canadians don't find conservation important enought to make it a priority in their lives . We are surounded by so much natural beauty here that I think we just take it all for granted.

O.j. Simpson Gets Up To 33 Years In Jail

Just goes to show you that he was destined for the big house no matter what. lets hope he doesn't get any special prison rights or protective custody. I would pay good money to see him roll into a federal penitentiary carrying his crap to his cell while he gets the toilet paper welcome and his first look at some of his new boyfriends. -
Hmmm... he needs two hands for that simple stuff?

Why I Will Never Tent Again....

Ill never understand why people go out of their way to simply kill for the sake of killing. Wonder how they would feel if someone killed one of their family members for sport. Whats the difference? -

kungfool replied to kungfool's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
Only $25 if you have a louise card. Any early season days dont count towards your louse card days. Thats pretty sweet. -
I hope he gets spit on and beat every time he shows his face until he does the cowardly thing and takes a bath with a toaster.

There is good fishing pretty much anywhere on the Bow. Sounds like you need some instruction on how to catch them. My advice is to take a beginners fly fishing course with Jim Mclennan. It helped me out a lot and Im sure it will help you as well. Took my course with Jim through country pleasures. Link is here

Was this the guy from Didsbury? -
Thanks for the video link Tman. I have a ton of respect for this Jim M. Took a course with him through Country Pleasures a couple years back and came away with a whole new understanding of the bow and some great new techniques. Worth every cent and then some.

Thx Don. -
Head down to Country Pleasures and demo them for yourself (they sell both Orvis and Sage fly rods). Best way to decide in my opinion.

"Quote : Anyways. To all the cops out there...I support you 110% and glad you are out there protecting me and my family and putting your life on the line. If you have reasonable doubt that your personal well being or those of the public is in jeopardy...blast the bad guy with either a taser or a gun... Your choice." There were three city police officers at the Rockyview hospital two weeks ago that punched out a drunk lady for spitting at them. One of them punched her in the face about a 6 or 8 times until she was bleeding from her mouth, nose, and cheek at which time they put a brown mask over her face to stop here from spitting (and to cover up the damage). The hospital security is instructed (and complies) to turn off the surveillance cameras before they lay into people who resist in this fashion. Is this proper justice? Do you back them 110%? This happens quite regularly. And before anyone askes, this is not second hand information. I think that there is times where force is necessary but there are times when it is used improperly. Police are people too and they make bad decisions like the rest of us. Each officer is responsible for his/her actions, and no one should categorize them as a group. Two things I do agree with is that the press is bias and this particular kid probably got what was coming to him.

Same here... Spent a long time learning to cast far but find I only do it on still water with streamers.
-
I would suggest going to your local park and learn to cast there without any flies. Just tie on some yarn on the end of an old leader and practice away. Taking the fish out of the picture really allows you to focus on the mechanics of the cast. I still try to get out to practice every couple of weeks.

Rick you lucky B... nice work on that bull man. Great looking pictures.

Well on a cold day lots of people will tell you global warming is a myth too. It takes more research than just reading newspapers, magazines, internet articles, and watching T.V. to make an informed response. None of us should ever forget that each of the these sources mentioned (which is more sources than most will ever investigate to make their mind up for them btw) are simply some other persons, or groups opinions and findings who likely have their own agendas. It's a lot of work and dedication to think for yourself, thats why most of us are too lazy to do it. Simply human nature. I'm not making a personal stab at you guys, so please don't get upset.

That sucks, I have to admit. I use barrel knots and they seem to work fine. -
Some Really Good Stuff - Berkley Vanish
kungfool replied to kungfool's topic in General Chat - Fishing Related
Wow... really? What specifically didn't you like about it? -
Just wanted to share my opinion of Berkley's Vanish fluorocarbon lines. Been using this stuff for two years as tippet and can honestly say its the best tippet I have ever used. It's cheap, super strong, super straight, very transparent in water, knots tie strong and tight. If your a Duncan loop guy, and have never used this stuff you are missing out! You can adjust the loop easily to just above the hook eye every time without a single kink or wave in the line. Simply amazing. Anyone else using this stuff? Link to it here
