  1. Hi Sallinger, welcome to the board. Midford ponds are a great place to practice your casting plus they have some nice rainbows in there. Some good spots on the Bow are. 1. Down by the Spray Lake rec centre there is a nice big bend with a few good runs. 2. Where the Jumping Pound meets the Bow (George Fox trail then park at the bridge and walk in) 3. Park at the top of the hill near the Wild Cat hills gas plant and hike down. You will find a couple of nice runs there. Get out and explore and have fun.
  2. I was there and I am from the Calgary area. I did feel out of place seeing that the majority of those there make a living off of our fishery and they have a lot to lose or gain from any changes brought forward. But hey it was very educational and I hope to attend more in the future. Holding a round table or two in the Calgary area might help a little as well. But really Neil what would it take to make you happy? Both you and Don complain that know one from the Calgary area gets involved then when a few start to show interest you *hit on them for piggybacking on others hard work. PS what kind of recognition do you want? I could bake you cake or maybe buy you a nice trophy or something. Every time someone post about a milestone reached at a lake or a Streamwatch auction is held there is a ton of positive feedback giving to those who do the heavy lifting. Don, Clive, Al, Barry and many others are well respected on this forum and deservedly so. Calgary Elitist Stalinist
  3. Awesome!!!!!!!! Thanks guys
  4. My bud is planning a stag for one of our good friends in Vegas. Does anyone have any leads on houses to rent or package deals? I just watched to movie The Hangover so we want to match or top that LOL
  5. Highwoodfisher who do you think you are?????? this thread was doing so well off the track until you came along
  6. I would just try the normal Google Maps or most of the fly shops carry the fold up map of the Bow.
  7. I hope you have a good one
  8. Instead of everyone bitching and complaining and pointing fingers and such, how about we come to a resolution on how the majority on this site would like the Mods to handle such pics. The rules for posting pics http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?showtopic=6266 where put together on input from the members of this site and the Mods carried through with those decisions and implemented the rules. So instead of this *hit show we are having and the threats to leave and the stupid name calling, maybe just maybe we could all come together and find a way that would appease the majority of the fine folk who use this site for what it is and was and not what it is becoming. PS I LIKE CAKE.
  9. HAHAHAHA Maybe you could call it in to the Fire Dept. I'm sure they could check itout and maybe save a few rafters andmaybe themselves.
  10. I'm sure that's Rickr and his US Naval Submarine. He is using it to spot big browns and evaporate poachers.
  11. Chiasson Sorry I missed your post. I have the VW racks that you can get at the dealer. They clip around the pegs under the weather strips above your doors. I like them a lot and are very easy to use.
