  1. Nice catch! Glenmore is one of the oddest fisheries, you might go fishless for couple of outings and than connect to a monster that will rip the rod out of your hands. Biggest pike i've seen out of there was 32lbs just a few years back. Once i stumbled on a dead one of similar size. Trout can reach up to 15 lbs and maybe more in there, my biggest was close to 9 pounds, brown buck. If you stalk the shoreline in evenings you can see big trout rising and chasing baitfish in shallows.
  2. If it is not upside down.... Maybe try straight eye, or up eye hook istead of what you're using now seems to be a down eye, that should solve the problem.
  3. Fish skulls have "keel" , keel should be on bottom side. By the looks of your picture i think you tied them in upside down. Never had problems with them, apart from finding small eye hooks that work with them.
  4. I got hives just looking at that nest, nice clean shots and beauty fish!
  5. Im using wifes old car, mazda protege. Was serviced properly since new, now has over 250000 and runs like a champ, if rust was not an issue I could run it for couple more years. Pathfinder for backup and boat tow. I will never get over my VW jetta, 1984 GLI coupe, believe it or not i was 7th owner and had over 800000km on it. Fishing, navex rally, sprint racer, and poker runner, she did it all until some idiot made a u-turn in a one way street and attempted to run over my car. Hands down cheapest and easiest car to fix on your own. One time she shot a sparkplug by silvan lake, i ran her on three cylinders all the way to calgary. She is greatly missed to this day.
  6. As far as i've seen you posted a picture of pieroway rod, which is a site sponsor, nothing wrong with that!
  7. Kinda sad, these youngsters are future of flyfishing in this province. Don't see anyone elses pictures deleted, and most pictures look like advertisements for various companies, from waders to rods to reels, none of those companies support this site and yet no one ever mentions it, mods do it as well. How about some common sense...
  8. Great shots, some serious fish you got there!
  9. Just crazy, loved it!
  10. Marble trout. That big one was caught on border of italy and slovenia if memory serves me right. Them fishes can get huge upward of 50lbs.

    Maol Leaches?

Muskrat is what i was refering to, not mink, i apologize.

    Maol Leaches?

Give it a try with squirel or mink. Mink has very dense and fairly short hair with thin hide, should work with smaller leech imitations. Squirel works good too, but check the package before you buy it, sometimes they have very sparse hair.
  13. Try " flyshop" from new zealand, pretty shure they have everything you need.
  14. Fishbike, I've tied almost exact same streamer just a few days ago. Saw it in a magazine and couldn't resist. Hopefully i can get some time on the water tonite and try it out. Swims good in the bathtub
  15. I prefer nissan, and would strongly suggest a pathfinder, mine is 2003 with 200 000km and still feels and drives like new. Very stable and swift for a 4x4. Uses around 12 liters of premium/100km, around 16 when towing a boat.
  16. Seen a calf midway from 22x towards mckinnon. Almost drove into the ditch, they are huge compared to my little mazda.
  17. I would avoid this vehicle, and look for something else. Plenty to choose from in any price range. Don't get stuck with a single offer, keep looking you'll run into something better. Too many things about this vehicle to be considered somewhat safe. Few weeks back i looked at a toyota echo that looked dandy until i opened the hood and saw wierd corrosion. After the carfax i found that it was going back and forth through east coast provinces. Was registered over six times, and had wAter damage in the engine compartment, it was saltwater cOrrosion. This was a '07-'08 car. Reason for selling, wife needs a bigger car...yeah right buddy
  18. Carfax will show all the info about the vehicle, be carefull of salt damage if it is from east. Most cars look decent but check under plastic mOldings for any corosIon, doors are easiest to check.
  19. Carstar in midnapore does good job at decent prices. Sounds to me like you need the whole panel painted. It might be a small ding but dont settle for a patch repair, it will haunt you later on(learned this the hard way with my pathfinder, backed into a loading ramp). Good luck!
