  1. Seems like the ucp likes to attack anything that is good for the public. health care, education and now recreation. What’s next on the chopping block? it will be a real shame if the campgrounds like racehorse, Dutch, upper oldman and livingstone falls are shut down and deadbolted.
  2. I hope the CO’s has enough sense to set up a few trail cams in the area in a attempt to catch these buggers poaching our streams. a case like this should have as much enforcement as needed to catch these guys then have the full extent of the laws thrown at them.
  3. What glue/product do you recommend for reattaching a felt sole to the boot. The front 1/3 of my felt sole is starting to detach and I don’t want to do a full felt replacement yet. Thanks for the suggestions.
  4. For two piece 9 foot rods.
  5. Does anyone know where you can buy a triple rod case these days. I picked one up years ago at wholesale but have had a hard time of late trying to find another. Thanks
  6. Hey sparkplug do you know if they run the aerators periodically during the winter months?
  7. Not to my knowledge, I’ve caught bass, panfish, rainbows, Browns, river run salmon All on the fly rod in Michigan. They are starting to reintroduce grayling there as well.
  8. My in-laws live in SW Michigan, and every summer we take a trip there. I can say that Michigan has beautiful country and the fly fishing for many different species is second to none. Thanks for sharing the video, it took me back to two summers ago fishing the Au Sable for beautiful browns.
  9. Does anyone know what all the construction on the bow is just south of the calf robe bridge? Looking from the calf robe bridge it appears they have made some big changes to the river.
  10. I’ve also been having issues viewing threads and post being double posted.
  11. And Neanderthals such as your self who think that violence is the correct form of action in a situation like this is the definition of being an idiot.
  12. Hey Adam, im sure Dylan B would appreciate them as he’s starting to enjoy fishing now and we’ll get you out on Mckenzie as a thank you.
  13. Bron, I have the same issue on my Iphone when viewing in vertical but if I turn my phone horizontal the blurred text clears right up.
  14. Just wondering what the appeal is these days for roof top tents. Correct me if I’m wrong but if you set up camp for a weekend say down on the oldman, every time you want to go fish a different section of the river do you not have to take the tent down and pull all your sleeping gear out of it? Wouldnt it be easier and less hassle to have a regular tent? Or am I missing something here?
  15. Like the old style as well, it was easier to navigate to the topics you were interested in.
  16. I'm sad to see all those employees losing their jobs in a already tough economic climate. I used to frequent wholesale forall my flyfishing purchases for many many years, but the last couple years I have been taking my wallet else where as it seemed like every time I went there for tying materials or a new line or leaders they were always out of stock. It seemed as if they always had more empty spaces on the walls than product. After so many wasted trips to find empty shelves I've turned to other shops and online shopping. I think whoever was in charge of their inventory and product selection has done a huge disservice to the success of the store.
  17. I usually have a backswimmer as the first fly followed by a ultimate boatman pattern about 18" behind bringing up the rear. I find that the backswimmer sinks between strips then rises up during the stripping action. Most fish I've gotten into will attack it on the rise. This has work well for me on the lakes.
  18. Lots of factors that all need to line up before these stocks start really rising. I think once the federal and provincial gov't finalize laws, procedures for legalization of recreational sale and use then we will see the payoff. Realistically it's a couple years until the real payoff.. I hope anyways!
  19. Is there a list of items up for auction that we can view beforehand?
  20. I once put an ad to give away my old washer and dryer. Stated first person to come pick them up gets them for free. I was absolutely amazed how many replies I received saying that they will take them but only if I delivered them to their house. Have listed other items and get several replies saying they can't afford the item but really want it and ask if I can give it to them for free. There are all types on kijiji and everyone want something for nothing in return..
  21. Thanks SilverDoc, I'll be tying some of these up in the near future.. Paul
  22. Love the look of those Doc's golden stones. I tried to do a search for the recipe/ tying instructions but no luck. Where can a guy find the recipe at? Thanks in advance.
  23. I was affraid that would be the case, I guess I wont be getting my hands on any par 3 or trillion as I dont know any farm or acerage owners to hook me up. Thanks for the info Lad.
  24. Hey Lad, Can anyone walk into Ufa and buy the trillion or par 3 over the counter or do you need a membership or need to be farmer etc. I've never stepped foot in a ufa but it sure would be nice to pick some up to control the neighbors weeds from creeping into my yard.
  25. Thanks for the reply Peter. My thought would be to use it on little tribs like the race horse, Dutch etc.. And the odd calm day on Mckenzie lake. Good to know that you can still cast the odd stimmy with the 2 weight. I've seen the tenkara set ups and although it looks like fun, I'm not sure I'm sold on it enough to purchase one.
