  1. IMHO, Based on seeing the time and effort you put in, not to mention the great quality, ask $4000. and take $3000..Maybe with a cheap anchor system. I have seen other new home builds for $3000 and $4000. There goes your bartering power for an FFC member. Just a little input. LOL Nice boat.
  2. And be aware of floating ice slabs, they creep up quietly.
  3. Thought I would ask, when I fish the Fraser slightly inland I use my regular 8 or 10 weight rod. The water there is quite brackish, sp?, I always rinse it off after the the day. If I was to go on a salt water fishing trip, I would just use my rod and find a salt capable reel. Or should a guy be looking at fly rods designed and sold for salt?? The wtb salt rod and reels in trading post motivated this.
  4. Beautiful scenes, and wonderful looking dog. They are so much a part of the family.I miss mine big time. We will get one or two soon, to add to our home and travel adventures.
  5. He's trying to provoke vociferous fulminations from the easily guiled.. LIKE !!!!

  7. Hi Pokerfish and Flytyer, Just wanted to say it was nice meeting you guys today at the show. Sorry I missed Murray. And thanks for the fly Pokerfish and the helpful info. Regards Paul
  8. Do any of you use OOMA VOIP service, and what do you think about it?
  9. I would never have known they are so smelly. Pete, I would be curious how it turns out.
  10. Have any of you heard of OOMA and used it? Any problems and pros and cons?
  11. Sorry to any members who work for Telus, but I dislike the company big time and am thinking of changing to Vonage or another provider, for the home phone. Also dislike the Blackberry, and thinking of a change back to an IPhone or try the Galaxy. Any feedback on home phone providers and pros and cons excluding Telus is welcome, and also opinions on Galaxy vs IPhone and providers. Thanks
  12. If I was not working I would offer, but can't
  13. You will find out. Some sooner than others. Happy New Year Back
  14. Me Too, and yes Country Pleasures
  15. Day off and have a gift cert for CP. Want to start tying, and went to buy balance of start up tools and some thread for my kit. Closed to the 10th. I at least hope they are gone fishing. In the short time I was there, 2 others showed up. Likely lots of guys missing CP fun stuff.PL
  16. Can someone post a pic of one please?
  17. No problem, what I meant was before the flood with a prop I could usually go from Carseland as far as above policemans with no trouble. I did not go past that point as I liked the water below and felt no need to. I believe I could have still navigated the upstream waters with no to little difficulty, but since the flood from walk or drive by, there are several areas I do not feel I could navigate in normal water levels as such long shallow areas and shelves have been created. Last summer I only fished Mac to above the highwood and then did not get on the water as I tore my knee. So I cant report on how navigable it is much farther up than the Highwood for now. Pardon me for the confusion created. You do the city a lot. When I cross the river on 17 ave se and look upstream in lower water levels it look extremely shallow for a long distance. Do you still clear it okay in your drift boat? Now I have a small tiller jet, so can likely go anywhere anytime, where the law allows.
  18. So I would think Gil"s beef is with anything power. Pre flood when I had a 15 hp short shaft I could prop from Carseland to above Policemans, when low may have to walk it a short part.Did not try above before city law as I liked the other water, now if law allowed I know you couldn't. I do appreciate we all have our right to our own opinions. FFC is a good example of that and continues to create good conversation.
  19. Do props do the same with erosion?
  20. I dont have a problem with having to wear a pfd at all times as I normally do when in my boat and sometimes wading(self inflate), so I would not fight it anyway. Boating parts of the city would be nice especially post flood, but I see why some are concerned about safety and liability as some boaters feel they own the water and are complete asses. I see courteuos boaters and like to think I am one of the more courteous, but you cant keep all happy. If laws in town were changed, who would have the right of way? There are so many dingy and tube floaters on a summer day. If changed, I feel the power boats should have right of way.
  21. Wishing all of you and families the best for 2014. Even the cranky whiners. LOL To Health and Happiness, sip,sip
  22. And to you and yours and all FFC members and family, and a warm and great 2014.
  23. I am researching a few few areas of BC to consider moving to, ie Kimberly, Cranbrook or Kamloops. Fishing is a big part of the choice. Years ago in Kamloops on some days the mills would stink the place up real bad. Do any of you know if that is still a problem? Paul
