  1. I have to say that weedy's is the cats ass....... even without any more edits it would an amazing logo at would rank right up there with the coolest fishing logos I have seen. My second favorite is lundvikes with SJWs' fly.......
  2. great ties guys...... I missed out again but I totally blame work..... I will get a fly tied sometime this winter......
  3. WOW I really really want to try one of those suits...... Just outta curiousity does anyone want to sky dive? I have never been and I want to plan it for some day next year. None of my friends will do it so I'd love some company.
  4. sounds like an abusive relationship, you wants' us to rough em up a bit? Maybe give him the old one two and maybe a three four five fer good measure
  5. I see the points being made..... whats the protocol in places like montana and some other big fishing destinations? How do they regulate their guides while still providing equality on the river ect ect. I say if there is a really good system somewhere we should adapt such a system to Alberta...... Unfortunately I have little experience with guiding practices in other places.
  6. Now I am actually kinda wondering what we are talkin about........ is this about a guiding license or a business license? I do feel that they should have to have a business license or more importantly pay taxes on the money earned...... just like any other income........
  7. I think Glen should be licenced just like any other large pet...... JK buddy (but seriously tell the GF to get you fixed atleast) I gotta say I feel about the same way as Glen. I don't feel that licensing is the issue, but we should have better monitoring all users of the fisheries. If a guide guides fine..... but he should get hammered (so should everyone) for any regulation infractions. If a guide is obeying the regs what harm is he doing...... But that said a licensing system would be ok if it was not exclusive as I feel all Alberta guides should have even opportunity to guide on Albertas waters..... If some guide or company can monopolize the guiding rights to a water then its unfair to other guides. Thats to do with the whole rod days thing.... but honestly I am not completely familiar with the system so maybe I should not comment on it. I would kinda like it if only holders of an Alberta residents fishing license were allowed to guide on Albertas waters for money. But maybe thats unfair.... i dunno
  8. hey flytyer what size did you want to use?
  9. Tie off!!!!! SALTWATER PATTERNS AT 10 PACES BOYS Just kidden I don't call the shots
  10. I wouldn't feel it would be more abusive then most hauling you would do with your left......
  11. sweet kit man thats gonna rip some lips looks like a prefect rig for NZ. You gonna pack a 3 or 4 wt as well?
  12. I would calmly walk into the room unplug the computer toss it in the trash and drop that kid off at the adoption agency..... No jokes.....

  15. great ties guys. I will be in on the catskills flies fer schisel ?schizzel? shizel? Yeah im totally not hip
  16. LOL I was thinking the same thing myself actually..... it would have been kinda uncanadian like conduct...... None the less I appreciate seeing articles like that.
  17. I really like that article..... hate to ask a stupid question but is that from London England or London Ontario?
  18. yeah the first contest I think got a relativly good amount of interest considering it is still pretty early and the deadline was pretty short..... I woulda posted something but I can't find my camera and I just plain ran outta time....... so should I add a material or no?
  19. I like it...... Not gonna buy it but I think its a pretty sweet rod. Its a manly pink. And really its not how the rod looks in your hand its how a nice tight 30 foot loop looks in the eye of the person who was just laughin at yer pink rod..... I am a little surprised though to hear ladystrange say that its tough in a fairly male dominated sport...... Do you just get that over the shoulder half scowl with the unseen but felt thousand yard stare hiding beneath dark polarized sunglasses when you walk past other anglers?
  20. I agree with rick.... I think its a great idea flytyer and when everyone is goin nuts during the winter it should pickup..... I was also thinking that maybe some sort of process change might help....... maybe if we just leave the next participant open and maybe make a rule that you have to wait atleast 2-3 full turns(additions) before you can add again..... every new component adds a new direction to the fly so even if the participants are fewer and more frequent as long as they are not making more then 1 turn at once the direction will keep changing and 1 person should not gonna influence the tie too much. If we happen to get 2 posts at the same time that create a conflict then first posts stays....... flytyers the man though so thats just an idea PS I woulda particpated but I never got called
  21. ouch hit a huy where it hurts...... right in the cords.....
  22. believe it or not I think hawgstoppah is likely the closest..... apart from the colors I never thought that fish was very big..... until I saw the pic...... Its one of those rare shots that really does make the fish look bigger then it seemed at the time..... rather then the other way around.
