  2. Never a good feeling losing fly gear or having it stolen. I got cleaned out one fine day back mid nineties on the Crow by some shitty person. Anyhow not trying to prey on your misfortune but the islander is a reel plus a spool. I'll help you out as best I can on that one. Dave
  3. I think I'm going to be sick for you. Thats going to be a while to get over that one. Sorry Brian. When you calm down I probably have a Islander trout series plus spool I'll bargain on with you. Dave
  4. Jay, 20 lbs is not heavy enough, a large weed matt in the fall would easily drag that anchor. Mike
  5. Take a look at the Commander Boat / Kayak from Outcast. Or the original Water Otter pontoon .It weighs 18 lbs inflated.

  8. With all the good rods, reels and lines out there , it can get a little confusing on what to purchase. Join us April 28 , 11 am to 4 pm and cast some excellent quality rods, lines and reels from Snowbee / Beulah . What ever you fancy, Singlehand, Spey or Switch. Meet Courtney Ogilvie from Nile Creek Flyshop on Vancouver Island, he is a excellent teacher, caster, awesome fly tyer and his love for Steelhead speaks for itself. Just a fun guy to hang out with. Courtney will bring along one of his Prostaffers with Snowbee, Colin Dunn who will help with casting, your Questions. Colin is a exceptional teacher and is very approachable, and has a ton of knowledge about Southern Alberta waters . Also a very good flytyer and rodbuilder. These two rod companys are making a huge statement in Europe and USA markets. Come cast a few, you will be surprised . The Snowbee flylines are maybe the best lines on the Market, they design, others follow. Come cast some Beulah Switch rods and see what the Calgary market is missing . Their flylines are matched to their rods, no other manufacture offers this. There will be a door prize for the most accurate cast, best out of 5 casts. So were looking for a few hotshots. Also enjoy a hamburger/ hotdog. Sorry no Cake . On Sunday the 29th you can also join Courtney and learn some fishing tips ,on river fishing. 12 pm till 3 on the Bow. You must sign up for this the cost is $70.00 ea

Lock and Go system, indoor outdoor carpet to step in and out of. Great for Lakes, with you and your 6 rods in the boat ,now you can take 10 rods. Mikey
  17. Aaaahhh, checked stock and it seems we are out. How rare is this one ?? When was the Perfect first produced ? Turks head ? Value ? Why are they leaded ? BTW have 3 made in UK Angel reels now, love em ! Also picked up 8.5' 4 wt Angel dry rod OMG is it something beautiful .
  18. Hello fishermen, Products come & go, the good ones seem to last forever. This has allways been our opinion of Hardy which is why we are stocking it at our store. Hardy realizing the current economy has become very aggressive with there pricing and continuelly developing new products. The latest is the Ultralight reel which absolutly stands alone in terms of quality & price. There is no comparable reel in this price range, starting at only $219, and has 7 sizes all the way up to great spey reels sizes. You need to check these out at the link posted below. From there clothing to waders & boots it's all an excellant bang for your hard earned buck ! A real sleeper is the Grey's GRXI series of rods.Starting at just $200 I have not felt any other rod in this price range with this fit and finish, 4 piece in a nice tube that even comes close. IT feels the way any $400 plus rod would feel, light & powerfull but with finesse. We will have in GRXI spey rods which ring in at $250-$325 Anyhow Hardy & Greys has so much to offer that you have to try a few to really appreciate how diverse their line up is ! Come check out what we have in stock or give us a call. We have another large order due to arrive first week in Dec, we will have a few of the new Zenith rods in stock, these are heirloom quality, nickle silver ferral plugs etc... Christmas is coming get your wish list together. Thanks from the staff @ SouthBow 403 873 0744 House of Hardy
  19. I used the outdoor carpet from Home depot, comes grey or green. Last stuff lasted 8-10 years of pretty constant use. Redid mine over last winter, this time coated the plywood first with 1/2 doz coats of spar varnish, again HD they are discontinuing that product come 2012 so get some while you can. Glued carpet with carpet adhesive using the notched trowel. Staple around edges of carpet and your done. Dave
  20. 1 - Hardy 2 - Tibor 3 - Abel 4 - Loop 5 - Islander If I only had more hands.
