  1. Looks like a Boatman. It doesnt have the large legs protruding from rear sides that a backswimmer has. All those splashy rises that you see on the river are probably Boatman takes . There is alot of them hanging just under the surface on the river right now.
  2. might eliminate micro drag. lol. what next.
  3. I believe they call that pattern a Simple Caddis . Great imitation for Travelling sedges
  4. Funny part was when he covers up his guide company decal on the side of his sled. lol
  5. Just add a little Zap a Gap to your last few wraps of thread before you tie off that will hold the life of the fly
  6. Looks good, take a felt pen to that bag material and that fly will smoke

    Dye

The Superfly dye we have been using, Mike every day for the last 2 weeks, seems to have a deeper richer color and doesn't run. sets quick, cool aid for me in the past depending on what we are dying can take day's and isn't as deep of color. The polar bear we are dying right now sometimes only sits in the dye for a couple of minutes depending on intensity wanted. Otherwise we leave it in over night. We have some dye left for sale if you need. Tx.
  8. Czech Nymphing with a gob of eggs. Looks like fun.
  9. Looks like a Algonquin rod
  10. Its always nice to have the comfort of a well schooled guide . Way to go Scotty. Hope you tipped him well. Nice fish Brian congrats
  11. Terrance just add rubber for the tail and replace biots with rubber as well . Hope that helps. Have fun on your float trip.
  12. Try Greg Tateman boats or Don Hills . Good looking boats.. You can also buy the materials from them.
  13. McKinnon is not as bad tho lots of beer cans. Ever since they paved the road it seems to attract more people from neighboring communities. Watch where you drive on the gravel bar stay away from the fire pits as the pin heads have been burning pallets , which mean nails and large staples. Seems to be a few flat tires hanging around the parking lot. Just not a fun way to end your day or start your next morning.
  14. the spot tracking device is a great thing. they carry them all over in the city

  22. yes, those squawky terns are Franklin Gulls , and i believe they keep the fish from rising on the surface. Just my two bits
  23. Hello all, Thanks to Courtney Ogilvie from Nile Creek Fly shop for bringing his knowledge of 2 hand casting to our shop this past weekend. We have some of the Beulah switch in 6/7 & 7/8 wts in stock now. What a beautiful rod for the Bow. As well we are stocking some of the Beulah Tonic heads in different grain wieghts as well as some of the Elixir lines. This combination does not break the bank and is well worth checking out. Thanks, Dave. SouthBow Fly & Tackle 403 873 0744
