  1. Has anyone fished on Echo Lake? Is it any good?
  2. Sweet pic, what type of camara do you use, dslr or a p & s?
  3. I was kind of curious too. Checked out there web page and I gotta say, I like the flame paint job option. It would suit my angriness.
  4. Don't lick it! In all seriousness though, I've bought capes before that absolutely stunk, Just dealt with it and ether I got use to it or it went away. However if you really not impressed I'd give him a call and see what he say's.
  5. I found a new avatar for you! Sorry for hijacking, I couldn't resist the opportunity!
  6. I believe what they are talking about is a comparadun pattern. You can use C.D.C. or a Deer hair wing fanned out, also it's placed further back on the shank giving you a longer Thorax.
  7. Thanks, Those look like some good article's, I'll read them more in depth after all the little beast's go to bed.
  8. Well there you go now I have something else I can play around with.
  9. Great as long as your outside! I still haven't figured out how to get good low light pics inside, everything looks dark and grainy. But I'm sure I'll figure it out. All of those shots were on auto, I just had to do some reading, playing and adjusting. It was diffently not an out of the box point and shoot, but who knows someone could have been playing with it in the store.
  10. does anyone know if they changed something on image shack? I can't seem to transfer pics to the forum!
  11. I would be chucking big streamers on Gull if it was me. My uncle has a cabin on that lake and every year he's pulling out some monster pike!
  12. If you can't afford to get two sets (eeee prescription glasses = flat bank account) I'd probaly focus on what your going to use them for the most. If you can wear contacts I would probaly go that route. Because then you can look at frames like monster dogs, gas cans, straight jackets.... With these frames you can switch out the len's with ease, plus you can buy the lenses for 60 to 70 bucks!!
  13. just a couple there, hahahaha. I've actually seen that before, I'm pretty sure there's a book with all the flies and recipes.
  14. If you call any oilfield company they should be able to point you in the right direction. Most of them install the wood boxes to protect them from subs and other equipment.
  15. I'd have to agree, plus it's getting time to throw the studs back in the box. What type of boots do you have, you can re-sole quite a few brands!
  16. does it hold the fly solidly or is it suppose to be held with minimal friction? Thanks for answering!
  17. What is the deal with junction tube? are you suppose to be putting this on your tubes? it seems to me that it would lock your trailer hook into tube so what is the point in using a tube? Also how far back should I back should I should I be running the materials to the butt of the tube? Any help would be appreciated.
  18. Ya your probaly right, I'm tying them for Steelhead. I was planning on tying up a few different sizes, just wasn't sure how small I should be going, or how big I suppose! I have found a lot of different patterns but not many of them list the size of the hooks to be used. But it looks like every movie I've seen they hold up what looks like a sz. 2 -4 hook when there talking about down sizing there fly.
  19. Is a sz. 4 in a salmon hook going to be to big for this fly? I was going to tie a coupke up in sz 2 & 4 but I'm wondering if I should use sz. 6 & 4.
  20. Thats a gourgous fish, good catch!
