Well Rickr...told you if nothing else you would be entertained. I think they include a bibliography at the end of the film or somewhere on their site. All I would ever say about this is that it is interesting and definitely different!

I have to agree with Taco that it would be great should Morton return as Minister of SRD. His political ideals are miles away from mine but he does have the passion most of here have regarding fish, wildlife, and land use. He is the best person in the, so far, ruling party for the job. I do have to say though that Dave Coutts was a very honourable politician, a good man, and was an excellent minister of that portfolio. It took Dave a bit to find his passion for it but he did find it. He found it by listening to people. Listening to them and then taking the steps needed to put that advice to action. Had Dave been given the chance to keep his position you would have gotten a better perspective on what kind of minister Dave really was. -

Well you can definitely rule out the newly formed Wildrose Alliance. The less government is more party. Running on reducing government services. Giving more breaks to the corporations. Referendums on tax increases both provincially and municipally. Where with their agenda would the money come from for more enforcement. Oh wait I can guess. They would look at BC and try to create in Alberta a fishery like they have in Great Britain. A fishery for the wealthy and privileged. Cause they deserve it. Geez just reading that shows me why I lost the nomination in Macleod. -
good natured...yep thats a chocolate lab/ fishing dog....welll...depends on who gets to the water first but they are fun to be with once they calm down Mine was a real handful when he was younger...at times still is but he is a great partner.

Good Bottle Of Scotch? Whiskey?
Gary replied to Smitty's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
I am surprised at all the knowledgable Scotch drinkers on this site. All giving good advice. My favourite is Glenffidich. I like the 12 year cause of its sharpness but the 15 year is very good probably as smooth as Dalwhinnie or Highland Park. Glenmorangie is also one of my favourites. My youngest son always gets me a bottle for special occasions. Irish single malts are also good, Red Breast being my favourite. Red Breast would make a great gift. -

Seemingly a small thing a call like that but the little things like that is what makes someone special. Sorry you had to lose that. Kudos to your wife for picking that up. Good story Rickr -

yeah unfortunately there is...was kind of unsure about posting it not wanting to ruin the thread. Norm was in a fatal motorcycle accident 6 days later. He had bad heart problems since his late 30's so each day we had for the last few years were bonuses. I am sure there must be better ways to go but he lived his life and passed on doing what he loved. Guess we can't hope for more than that.

Thanks Ladystrange....I was a little unsure about putting it up

Well my most memorable fishing trip ever took place this year. My life long best friend (from the time we were toddlers) and I after too many missed opportunities and conflicting schedules finally got a chance the first weekend in September to take a small excursion to places we hadn't fished together in years. While the fishing wasn't great we had a super time reminiscing and making plans for walleye fishing and getting our dogs out for pheasants later in the fall and touring on motorcycles next year. Weather was great. An absolutely great day my last fish of the day Norman fighting his last Norm's last fish....pure joy on his face This was our very last fishing trip together.

Hey Harps.........I have other motives gotta say I like my flowing water full of fish and the banks devoid of fisher people

On the contrary all you guys from Calgary. Police is the closest thing you will find to heaven (actually tied with Bullshead) in southern Alberta. Full of huge fish just waiting to inhale whatever you may have to offer. They will challenge you just enough to keep things interesting. Oh did I mention the past record rainbow in Alberta came out of Police!

Definately the most interesting magazine I have seen online....love it even though I am an old guy

The electoral college usually votes for the candidate winning the popular vote in each state, but there is no requirement for them to do so. The basics of it is the founders of democracy didn't believe that the great unwashed were smart enough to make a responsible decision. So there it is, the great defenders of democracy in the world are paranoid about the process. Then again Mickey Mouse would usually win a plurality with a write in ballot.
