I read it. Pretty cool. I think once I get the single handed rod down pat then I might have to try out the Spey eventually.

Bump. Looking into the Helios a bit more. Man.. looks like a sweet rod. I think maybe I'll get one of these for my "ONE really high end rod" instead of a Sage.. just out of principle.

heh heh.. aren't you a joker! Funny how they said it's causing a stir though... it's kind of neat that it's shaped that way, but it just looks like a rock outcropping to me.

I got a new Pflueger Trion 1934 for my 3 weight this summer and I love it. Haven't actually caught a fish on it yet though!

Picked up Blue Ribbon Bow and Fly Fishing Western Trout Streams at the library on Saturday. Just finished Blue Ribbon Bow last night... excellent book. I think I'll have to buy it for sure. I particularly had a good chuckle when I read how casting large streamers in the wind can present some unique challenges.. and then he went on to describe how a buddy of his was just leaning in to a "underwear ripping cast" when he felt his streamer get caught behind him and turned around to see "the unluckiest skunk in the world come tumbling down the bank with a #2 wooly bugger stuck in his nose". LOL Starting Western Trout Streams tonight..

I'd be willing to pay more for sure. Provided we see the things a few of you mentioned already.. more C.O.'s, better protection of the fisheries, etc. Nothing more frustrating than calling in some poachers on the Bow and hearing that the nearest C.O. is in Cochrane (personal experience)!

They need to trade Krahn.. he's been in the system for what? 6 years now? Still hasn't cracked the lineup! I'm sure there's some teams that would give him a shot.
