  16. "Do you like apples?"
  17. Yeah, the ice would be fine right now after this damn cold snap!! Reminds me of when I was younger.. used to invite friends over to skate on the lake behind my grandparents place. One time, a few of the parents asked "is the ice safe?" (this was like the middle of february) and I said "yes". "Are you sure?" "Well, my grandfather says it safe and well, he knows these things." "Well, we don't want to send our kids over unless you check it.." FINE! Run down to the lake and start hacking through.. finally get to the water. Stick my arm down just about to my armpit before I can wrap my fingers around the bottom of the ice.. Run back up and call the parents back.. "yeah, there's like 19 inches of ice.. that's enough to drive a tank on.. can your kids come over and skate now?"
  18. I'm working on a streak of my own here boys.. 3 months and counting without going fishing at all! So ya'll shutup now ya heear?
  19. BBT - That is a pretty sweet looking reel! headscan - Ha! Yeah.. it's a thought. We just signed a 1 year lease on our current place though.. so if we do move, it's a year away at the very minimum. I'm not liking the sound of the fishing in the area though.. based on some of those replies! We truly are spoiled rotten here!
  20. Actually found this thread on Fly BC that mentions (buried in the thread a bit) that the 'grinding' issue has been addressed. http://www.flybc.ca/forum/index.php?showtopic=13405&hl=
  21. Was going to make a similar comment Nick.. but then I thought maybe it's because i'm mostly in downtown Calgary. To me though.. the fact that Rogers is a GSM network makes them a no brainer. If you ever plan on using your device out of the country, then it's an easy choice to make.
  22. Hey all, I've recently caught wind of this company from another FFC member. www.amundson.ca Contemplating trying out one of these reels on my new 6 weight, instead of getting another Trion (i'm a sucker for the "chrome and wood" look). So far, when asking other members for feedback, I've gotten one "yay" and one "nay". Anyone else have any experience with these reels (or if you'd like to comment on the rods - that's fine too) that they'd like to share? I see that Brian Niska carries them at Whistler Fly Fishing..
  23. If you want good customer service, then Rogers is the way to go. We deal with all 3 major carriers on an almost daily basis at my work, and Rogers blows Telus and Bell away in the customer service department every time.
