It is just a worry of mine, I blame GP for a lot of the Ocean stocks collapse in the Maritimes, after they got the seal harvest stopped with in a few years the salmon slowed and then the seals went after anything - there is now over 6+million seals in the Atlantic and they are damn hungry, plus they need the energy to bred so will be looking for more food!!!! Historically the seal #'s were 800,00 - 1.2million, prior to stopping the seal harvest..

As part of my field testing of this line I have tried to fish it in a variety of conditions, I think from -15c to +5c, sunny with sharp ice shelves and frozen guides, fly lines, leaders and FLIES !!! To sunny Chinook weather and mini icebergs, should cover it for now, so here is the report with Pictures this time.. The Fly line - WF-6_F Willow/orange Scientific Anglers Mastery Textured Series Nymph/Indicator.. The line claims to have and extra powerful turnover for multi nymph rigs and indicators, well it sure does and it will even turn over a fully frozen three nymph rig and Thingamabobber and it's self the frozen fly line.. what great day that was, the line held up great, no signs of cracking or strain on the line, my TFO may claim it wants stress leave but I put it right back to work, on the actual Winter Solstice Dec 21, and they both performed great. Seven great Crowsnest river trout to hand, damn near to my backing twice, and extra accuracy and distance to my cast, I am starting to think big foam monster flies in the summer with this line!!!! 19 Dec 2010 -15c, lots of casting and clearing of ice, no fish just a great day to be out with friends Easy to see indicator tip.. Hi Gaffer I sent you a PM Great line and you will find that it is like sharkskin but not like shark , there is a "texture" there but sort of like trout scales on a 4in Brook trout compared to a 20 inch Lake white fish... So again sorry I will be fishing the line and fishing it hard, to test it of course , Well Somebody has to do it!!!

Tuesday Paul (Harps) and I went fishing, he just wanted to go fishing . I had a purpose to go fishing of course, I had been asked to field test a fly line, I am not a technical type of person, in my profession which was Combat Communications for the CF, I was very technical it was what was expected of me. But in the life after the Army I am not, so this line I am testing was not going to get hooked up to a spectrum Analyzer or Cast Analyzer or even a Spectrum Competent Caster Person Analyzer. This was just to be a “what do you think of it” test.. The answer is loved it, it casts big heavy three nymph rigs very well never had a one not turn over, and I did damn well in the vagrant 60KPH winds as well. The line is the Scientific Anglers SA Mastery Textured Series Nymph/Indicator Textured Nymph line WF-6-F, DO NOT THINK SHARKSKIN ! Nope no where’s near that, very fine texture, light noise if you can even call it a noise, I have and will do a lot more casting and fishing with it, to get a deeper understanding of what the line can do. The line performed better then expected, I have a very haphazard style of fly casting, I am sure that it added yards to what I can do with a 3 nymph set up.. Also the line has a nicely coloured tip section of Florescent orange and a willow olive main line, so was very easy to see with the light conditions and when the tip was drug under by the current the tip was very easy to see and follow, The streamlined loop was easy to use and did not feel like it would crack or give out.. So this is my first crack at fishing with a purpose other then just going Fly fishing... I never need a reason to go tho I have lots of reasons to go, this one was not a selfish one.. My picture taking skills were crappy that day, so I will not insult you with a bad picture..

That purple colour is the colour it turns when I hold it too tight and for too long, and slowly move my hand up and down it to make sure not a single inch is left untouched for as long as I can hold out, this brings me such joy that I would do it 50 times a day if I could without getting caught ... Choking the living Crap out of some dumb Bustard who so richly deserves it!! brings me such joy!!!!!! Besides that the vise is nice just not my style, but and there is always a but - I love the colour..

My advice - Get a Nor-vise....problem solved.. surprised Flytyer did not suggest that!! other then that the half hitches work best or if your materials lend themselves to it, twist your thread with the material to strengthen the material.

Individuals who take advantage of the development that weak governments, municipality's and environmental agencies allow to happen, well restricted season maybe.. I would love to live along a creek as long as it did not negatively impact the creek or wet lands..maybe near or in near safe proximity is a better term, and I mean safe for the creek.

Man I just hope they put good dirt over it and turn it back to what it should have been left as, "GREEN SPACE" and that the developers get knocked in the head with an Atlantic Salmon PRIEST, and anybody that tries to develop along any river gets the same treatment.... Greedy Barstools...
