  1. Great shots Jeff. Nights like that help you clear your head. Mr. Rana p is a fine addition to the frame.

    Friday Dawn

This was taken just before my pointer helped me collect some feathers for making a certain type of nymph.
  3. Sorry for your crappy day. It is amazing what has happened on this river in the last 5 years. After getting nearly run over by boats, guys standing on top of you and general crowding, I gave up and went to the lakes. If you need a rod for a while, I have a 6wt TFO you can use.

  5. Looks like fun. Some Frank guy got 27....was that you?
  6. Hope there is still some left by the end of next summer...they are slowly disappearing. It has definitely been an entertaining year!
  7. Great fish Jared. You look very experienced
  8. I think I'd rather learn from an "experienced" angler who catches good numbers of fish. One that can fish a variety of techniques and water conditions. Catching a variety of species would also be a bonus. Getting outdoors is good, but actually catching fish is what I'm after. Anyone can go for a walk along the river....I go there to catch fish.

    Riddle Me This?

Love the slope on her back, extra muscle to wrestle with. Hopefully your daughter can hook it before the ice comes. This lake sucks
  10. For the Bow.....about 5 feet
  11. Beaver lake near Caroline. Some other lakes in that area Police outpost lake (on USA border) Bullshead reservoir southeast of Medicine Hat. There's a number of lakes in Kananaskis country in the mountains but the fish tend to be small. Alberta is not blessed with many lakes and there are very few with quality fish
  12. A friend headed up to N. Sask earlier this year and had a blast fishing for gators. This little guy looked like dinner to someone else in the lake
  13. Browns digging by the zoo last weekend

    Rattlesnakes

Hey Clive, after photos you can head over to the trout pond in town and exercise some 'bows. Cool looking critters
  15. Steve, send a PM and let me know if you are around this weekend
  16. Thanks for your insights NEBC. I have been fortunate to be catching 95% of the fish on the surface. It has been really hard to take. It the fish are not very busy on the surface they are still cruising at about 4 feet and will come up if enticed correctly. I did spend a day using the clear line just under the surface and it was very effective. I will try some 1730's out (catching 15 lbers sounds like a horrible thing to do). I haven't had to use the sinking line yet, but your theory for fly travel sounds like an effective way to get some bites. Cheers, Rob
  17. What a pretty fish....I mean bait.....I can't see the fish with that worm thing in it's mouth. How LOOOW will you go to catch a Cutty. You've been fishing for 'eyes and burbs too much this summer and forgotten that this is FLY fissin'. By the way, it looked like a great day and the fall colors are so nice to enjoy. Catching a few big ones always makes the day special. I was going to invite you to catch some monster rainbows on dries, but now I see you are only a bait fisherman. Do you find chumming the stream with nightcrawlers gets the Cutties in the mood for the RED WIGGLER?????????? Glad you had a great day and I am jealous of your orange bellied mountain toad
  18. Well I've been experimenting with some TMC 3761 (2X strong) nymph hooks. They are staying up in the water column enough for my liking and I have only straightened a couple. Daiichi 1560 and 1530s are next to be tested.
  19. Thanks for the show....the colors leave a print on your soul
  20. The colors of fall rock! Softer light makes for great pictures too
  21. Had one go after my streamer when Bass fishing last summer. It's always fun to see them. Years ago one tried to climb on my tube in the late evening. Great bonus to see them when fishing
  22. Very nice Wes. Thanks for sharing your day
  23. What type and size of hook are you using?
  24. He's getting dressed for the big October party!
  25. I think Terry you have your own "problems" in your back yard. If you're ever up near the big city let me know and I will get you out to educate some of these equipment bashing fish.
