  1. I've noticed lately that when I get done with my fishing on the Bow, or anywhere else for that matter, that my elbow has some stiffness in it. I did have it before when I very first started, but thought that it was just because my arm wasn't used to the motion of fly casting. After my last outing, which was last Thursday morning, my arm hasn't stopped aching. Is there such a thing as Fly Fisher's Elbow? I would think this is what Tennis Elbow feels like, but I don't play tennis.
  2. I just bring mine to work. I drop it off in the morning and pick it up before I leave. No big deal.
  3. Good to know they made a mockery of you before they actually helped you....lol
  4. I don't know. Bertuzzi, Lombardi and Cammalleri had amazing chemistry the other night. Wouldn't be suprized if this was the line to watch. Bert didn't really put up any points until he was on that line. Will be interesting to watch to be sure.
  5. I was under the impression there would be no math........
  6. I had exactly the same problem with my TFO reel. Is it a mayfly reel? If it is, or any other with a plastic spool for a cartridge, then what's happening is the line is getting wound too tight and bowing out the spool. When it does that, it drags on the reel body itself. The first time it happened, I brought it back to Wholesale (where I bought the rod/reel combo) and they replaced the spool and spun on some new backing and re-wound my line. Fixed the problem. Then about two or three weeks later, it happened again. At that point, I said :$*%&: it and I bought a new reel.
  7. nice Rick! how much do you charge per week again?
  8. I'll even go one step further and say whoever aboloshes the Young Offenders Act will get my vote.
  9. Not likely to happen anytime soon, but I like the way you think.
  10. Just in case you haven't seen it yet. http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?showtopic=6119

  12. I do believe that I was the first reply to this whole thing, and I've been watching it grow and mutate over the last several days. And even though I don't know a lot of you, or really any for that matter, I only know one thing. I love to fly fish. Sure, I am just learing, hell, I have only caught four fish in total thus far, using different methods. First one was on a double nymph rig, the second on a single nymph rig on the swing, and the last two were both on dries. I came on this board for one thing and one thing only, to learn more about this sport that I am really growing to love, and admittedly become obsessed with. I try to hit the water any chance that I get, and I try ever different method available to me that I am prepared to learn and attempt. Now, I do come from a spinning back ground, it's all that I knew and it's what I grew up doing. When I moved to Calgary I heard that the Bow was some of the best fishing in North America, if not the world, and was DYING to learn how to fly fish. I recently learned, and haven't stopped learning. All because of the members on this board. The last thing that I need to see/hear is some uppity know it all elitist who thinks I am just a "meat fisher" because I am learning all of the different methods available to me via a fly rod. Several members on here have taught me something new to this sport. Sometimes even without my asking them, which is a big part of why I come on here in the first place. Everyone is more than willing to TEACH. And teach everything. (Except how to get to thier "special hole" ) This is a great board. Don't let the few ruin it for the many.
  13. Absolutely gorgeous man. This is why I want to visit the east coast. Thanks for posting!
  14. Even if it were a "dry" event, I'd sneak in something to make the day a little more entertaining
  15. Sooooooo, you're saying that I shouldn't waste my time, unless I want to catch a pig of a brown?
  16. I only saw one pool of fairly still water. And even then it was only about six inches deep and nothing in there but rocks. Next time, I'll go a little further down stream. I heard it gets better as you get closer to the falls.
