    Confused

My guess is theirs a noticeable difference in water temp between the two rivers. So once the HW gets closer to the Bow temp, they go.
  2. Exactly! If somehow we could get permission, a couple of hours with the right equipment would be all that is needed.
  3. First find out for sure that the land there is crown, get there permission ( easier said then done) i can imagine the red tape... Equipment not allowed into river etc... I would leave the lot part alone just block the edges so people cant 4x4 in. Dig out the launch and surrounding area. Need to find someone with equipment (excavator that can reach from shore )that will donate there time. We could raise cash for fuel and other costs. or ,not sure how it works but if 5000 + emails were to go to the right people at the crown about how unsafe it is they may just come and fix it ?? Dreaming i know.
  4. With its location on an outside bend theirs no need to waste more money making a fancy parking lot,dig out the area in the river with all the rocks make it safer. I wonder what the legalities are?I don't see a sign saying use at own risk. If it wasn't for the dude that went in there with his bob cat right after the flood we wouldn't of had anything the last couple of years.
  5. So by the time they get it figured out the river will flood again and change the shore.Start all over again.
  6. the power drifter would be harder to row only because of the higher bow in the wind and of course it weighs more. But as has been said neither row very well.if your a bigger guy then they row ok A mod V jon does much better in a lake and rides nicer in the riffle water on the bow.
  7. I think it is the old launch. And yes people park in front. ..... Need a sign.
  8. Well we dont need millions, make the launch safer. Its only a matter of time before we have a drowning because of the rocks right at the entry point. Then theyll close it down and we'll all lose Id prefer they kept the parking the way it is anyway. Keeps the non river users with there kias out and makes the shuttle people park down by the enterence. Which seams to work.
  9. Is there any plans in the works for the launch?Judging by whats been done in the past theyre going to need a little help at creating a usable safe launch. They seam to vocus on parking rather then a launch. A high hoe could dig out the back eddy, remove the rocks out in the current part and we have a much nicer/safer launch. A couple signs to stoo people from parking at the make shift turn around by the launch would also be nice. Hoping the next time around they listen to people who actully use the river before they draw up any plans.

  11. Had u looked at the dewalt store? Cheaper then anywhere else. Only 6 mo warrenty but ive had good luck with all my purchases there. Looking at my saw it will take 1/2" dado but its older then the models you get now. Dw744
  12. Typically if your gonna play with dados you use a small hand held router and a straight edge, much quicker and your not changing blades in the saw all the time. Pretty sure i can get a dado in my dewalt might only be 1/2" ill check tomorrow. If dado's and 5 piece doors are in the futer then do it right and get the cast iron one with a big ass motor.oh and new wiring in the garage cause you'll need a 220V dust collector also:)
  13. You'll have to check model numbers on dewalt, the home depo one may be different then say the one you buy at calgary fasteners or the dewalt store. Not sure but i know drills will differ from say HD too a specialty store. I think any of the saws will do,well I'd stay away from anything CT, riged or skil, if bigger cuts are the norm then go with what has the biggest table.I know the dewalts is small but that makes it easier to get in and out,so for contractors its good. Like anything else, a good operator can make good square cuts on most any saw.
  14. Dewalt, the rack and pinion fence is by far the better option. Not like the old saws where you had to measure on every cut. Build yourself a Cross cut jig that runs in the miter slot and the saw comes with a splitter that runs behind the blade for big cuts.Dust port out back so vac hooks on,great saw ,i use mine every day. Big sheets your best to cut down with a skill saw and straight edge then cut your pieces on the table saw. Or having side and out feed tables/benches is what i use to cut full sheets.
  15. only luck Ive had is using the attach files route,i resize from my i phone then download to laptop.Dont have to deal with photobucket this way.
  16. from the i phone its much easier, just get the resize app its free.I also have given up on postin photos from my laptop.
  17. wrap in plastic bag and throw in garbage:) Replace with beef. Your welcome. And some people say it tastes just like chicken! Pfft.
  18. Ya Bonehead has it right, get good at touch ups and polishing and you'll have a good looking boat for years to come.
  19. Looks like on the 21st mid afternoon the flow doubled at Banff,on its way down now again.
  20. Gonna start feeding the coyotes a little earlier I see.
  21. Nevermind I got it fixed. Took the otter box off and set it on router.
  22. Started after I did a hard restart, was having trouble with my golf GPS app. I've read all I can on google. Reset network settings. Turned power off and on. Other devises in the house work fine. So it's not my router Any suggestions? I just get the unable to join thing. It worked before the hard restart.
