  1. Is this a photo post or an add? I'm not the forum police but I do work for a site sponsor, and I dont quite see ya as a site sponsor. SPONSORS LISTED HERE
  2. Great pics Max. I know what day you got that Bull, it was nice to see ya. Great fish!! .. Hey did the CO's end up showing up and checking that crew with what appeared to be their bait poles and lawnchairs out? I wish we would have made the call but since we didn't know for SURE if they were doing anything wrong we elected not to as we drove over the bridge we just had a quick glance.
  3. Sunday spot has been filled, should be a fun day on the water!
  4. For anyone who is against sharing info, how many people appreciate the times when Maxwell posts about the bow and what's working? He tells you what types of water the fish are moving into, and what flies they are having luck on. I bet HUNDREDS of people from here appreciate the hell out of those reports and use them to increase their chances of success on the Bow. When I used to run bowcrows website I ran daily reports on there too. Thousands of hits a month of the page for river conditions (updated daily). Helping people catch fish and enjoy the bow is what guys like max and I and others who guide do, we love the river and love to share info about it so that everyone can share the resource and have fun. I think that far outweighs any negative consequences of a few poachers or whatnot looking for fish too. I can understand the "sensitive" fisheries being kept nameless though. Just my 2 cents.
  5. very very good shots thanks for sharing! many recognized and all enjoyed!!
  6. Weather for Sunday (tomorrow) is now looking great at +6 with very low wind if any at all, for the southern area (Oldman River, Crow, etc). Great day to hit the water and I am offering a short notice booking deal for anyone who wants to go tomorrow $25 off ($250 instead of $275) drop me a PM or give me a shout at 403-653-3743
  7. LOL you guys have me laughing so hard I can hardly breathe.
  8. Spot now open for this coming weekend if anyone wants to brave the weather. Rising fish by the numbers on one of the southern rivers we fish right now, this last weekend there were pods of fish coming up in the snowy weather. If you want a dry fly fix this weekend looks like a good shot. Drop a PM if you are interested. Cheers and tight lines!
  9. hmmm. great report. but shame shame shame for mentioning what flies you used. Now everyone will be catching fish, and the fly shops will be cleaned right out. all becuase you put a report on FFC. (If you aren't getting my sarcasm .... you need a cup of coffee... and thanks for the report)
  10. Your report of this sighting is now under investigation.
  11. Wouldn't suprise me, with the attitude so many people have nowadays out there. Fishing used to be about getting rid of stress, now we come to a forum where people bitch and fight about sh*t all the time.
  12. awesome! I saw this once on the crow myself... I can't remember if I still have the pics or not. Neat stuff!!!! That snake won't need to eat for a week!
  13. Another good reminder of the reasons we fish. Moments like this.
  14. Jayson, you seem to have a bone of contention with me. I still never gave away the spot... up from sunnyview covers quite a bit of river my friend. No one that posted gave away the spot. EDIT: Had some info that no longer is relevant.
  15. Oh no! Now the entire city of Calgary knows where to go for dead burbot!!
  16. I personally havent posted a report on here for a long time. Other than some river conditions updates during runoff to help people make decisions about where to go and where NOT to go (gas is expensive), I tend to stay away from it. Too much controversy. People complain enough about guides showing people water they think should be kept a big secret, so no need to post reports on it as well. BUT.... What's next, no pictures showing any background except for a blue screen?? Come on... this is just silly people... The reason I keep coming back to this forum is to read the photo/reports section and enjoy other peoples experiences when I find myself short on fishing time. Even the report that sort of started this discussion was based on a trip I was involved with. The actual report only stated the river name, and that fish were caught on streamers. No locations were given and no size/shape/description of the streamers used where given either (except one picture showing one variety). If that was "too much information" given I don't even want to see a report with less. While Don's report is humorous, it's not the reason I come to this forum.
  17. LOL ok I needed that laugh today. BAD DOG!!!! *smack* Great pics by the way... I have only ever seen Wolves once myself and was fortunate enough to snap a picture. It was up on the Alaska hwy in the yukon, a pack of approx 25-30 Wolves.
  18. what a wicked fish! well done!
  19. Great shots
  20. Lots of spots to hide anyways... and right now there isn't a breath of wind down south ... that Being said, it's a gorgeous day outside my window and I'm headin out myself
  21. prices are also better at www.newegg.com for this stuff. Again that's in my opinion.
  22. Dell right now has a great machine on for 899 (normal 1499) with 2gb graphics card, 8gb ram, nice sized HD, and intel i7 processor. The XPS15 Laptop. For the money he's going to spend (500) do yourself a favour and chip in the extra for him and get him one that'll last him 5 yrs. That's my opinion, for what it's worth.
  23. Agreed, if it's a dead carcass I encounter in bear country I am gone, and fast.
