  1. I see yer back from Saskabush...how was your trip?
  2. Been kicking around the idea of getting satellite radio for the weekends at the trailer (the country station in Lethbridge doesn't cut it for me). I don't know much about it so trying to get educated. Found out alot so far, but have 2 questions that I need answers to. 1) Is it portable? We have 2 vehicles - one is a company truck and one is a leased vehicle, so I don't want anything permanent that I can't take with me when these vehicles get traded in. 2) What is the best one? XM or Sirius? Or is it the same now? And where is the best place to buy it from?
  3. Lynn, you have probably been close if you fish the racehorse area often enough, just that the bears saw you first and avoided you. Trust me....I know that to be the absolute truth. In fact I swear my dog has seen more than one that I haven't.......

    Cutty Porn

I used to think brookies were the prettiest fish to be caught. After seeing these pics, I might have to change my mind. Cutthroat sure are beautiful in the sw streams....even during spawn. Nice pics.
  5. That's a beautiful shot Clive....very nice. I know where you were....I know where you were
  6. I'll probably regret asking this Taco...but was does CF stand for? This will be a great venue Chris....I might actually go to one now!
  7. Brian, I seriously have every hair on my body standing on end right now. If that ever happened to me I swear to God I wouldn't live to tell the story. I don't know how you remained that calm yet kept casting (wow...is that the sign of a die-hard fisherman or what?!) but kudos to you for keeping your wits about you. So....do you fish in Depends now?
  8. Hey Rick...what kinda trailer ya gettin'? And may I say that I am just so HAPPY to see everyone having babies on here!
  9. Hit a campground there DBT...none of that *hit going on where there's a hosted site.
  10. Hey Mr. B...how was the fissin' this past week?
  11. hahaha....sorry to be such a smartass
  12. Okay...I'm done laughing now Brian. Now I want the whole story on that one - sounds fascinating if not terrifying!
  13. We don't usually fish the long weekends either. But I think this one will be different......
  14. ONLY 7 months pregnant. Only a guy could use that word in that sentence.
  15. wow......very nice! I know where you were too...... Too bad you didn't get a pic of the one that spit up that cutty DBT. Betcha he was a monster.
  16. Nice pics. As someone who is a native of Ontario, I'd just like to say that I'm stunned that such beautiful fish can come from such a shitty province
  17. That was the very first book I read when I was learning to fly fish and it was a truly invaluable tool. Plus that's how I got to "meet" Clive. I emailed him and told him how much I enjoyed his book and could I have his autograph cuz he's all famous and stuff. He likes that kind of stuff....it's good to feed Spudman's ego
  18. Ya....Mike and little Hayden both got "the look" from me. Can't get too mad about it though....cuz if I were 18 and mine looked like that I guess I'd wanna show them to the world too
  19. 'tis indeed Birchy....seen it with my own eyes.
  20. Gotta agree with Rusty here...if ever there was a river that could be turned into a great trout fishery, the K river is it. Wandered it a few kms some years back when I was doing a golf tournie up there and had an afternoon to spare. I couldn't believe there were no fish in it....it's just a gorgeous piece of water. Thanks for posting Glenbow....good stuff.
  21. Then again, it could be.. tying flies just drives me freaking nuts I'm with you there Taco. Ever since my Woolly Spratley fly failed to make the cut, I've decided that fly tying isn't for me. I don't know how Mike does it. For a guy that is otherwise so non-detailed-oriented in life, he sure does well at tying flies. Maybe that's where he dumps all his energy.
  22. There already is....take a walk anywhere from the Glenmore Bridge down.
  23. .....and so you don't need to ask me the question of why I won't tent it and prefer my big honkin' trailer then eh Taco?! Yikes. I fear the day that I'm the one to stumble upon fresh bear stuff. I fear that I may never wander into the bush again and I don't want that. We carry bear spray, make lots of noise, keep the dog close, are always aware but I worry we just don't do enough and an encounter is almost inevitable. I think at that point I'd have to worry about stepping in my own sh*t vs a bear's.
