  1. Yeah, and I'll just try to let it go...even though I want to call a supervisor.
  2. Well, I phoned RAP tonight to report an infraction, and was told by the CO that "there is no bait ban on that stretch of the bow river", "You can use bait until a certain date, and then you can only use maggots." After I read him the regs over the phone, he recanted with "Oh, I thought you meant below the WHD weir", "because you can use bait there." "I'm a ways out from your location, so I might make it, OK." That was that, and I'm not making this up guys. Wow, am I dissapointed.
  3. I found it elitist because you mentioned "spin fisherman" and not fly. You also prefer people to poach? If someone catches a fish with a zero retention limit and keeps said fish because of "injuries" or because it is likely to die, it is POACHING. Can you fathom the amount of people keeping fish and simply telling the CO that "it was injured, so I had to keep it". Maybe I am just misunderstanding you, but I'm educated enough to process what I read. I have nothing against you personally, I'm just doing my best to understand exactly what you are trying to say.
  4. Dude, that's elitist. There are fly fisherman that suck at fish handling as well. Actually in addition to being elitist it makes no sense and was clearly made in haste.
  5. What beautiful cutties. They are porkers! Hmmmm....where is this lake exactly?
  6. Beeyah! This is the most usefull post ever!
  7. An Israeli doctor says "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him looking for work in six weeks." A German doctor says "That is nothing, we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in four weeks. A Russian doctor says "In my country, medicine is so advanced that we can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have them both looking for work in two weeks." The Texas doctor, not to be outdone, says "You guys are way behind, we recently took a man with no brain out of Texas, put him in the White House for four years, and now half the country is looking for work."
  8. Dude, is there vehicle acess to alot of the places upstream of where you were fishing? Or, is the FD supposed to hump in a bunch of gear from the nearest road allowance, in order to save a life...the FD jet boat doesn't just deal with on the water situations, and regardless if it is shallow, people drown in shallow water too. I've had my ass handed to me on the forums before, and I would say this attitude might bite ya. Believe me, this is comin from a guy who knows. I'm sure you are just trying to justify your opinion, but yeah...let it go.
  9. Hey MTB...go right ahead with the facebook stuff (regarding use of my pictures)
  10. That's LIFE man. I have buddies in the FD, and I bet they will laugh their asses off when they hear about this. Not to be an ass but.......
  11. Like I said, I was stingin them and after a few headshakes...whoop, out comes the fly. They were hammering the dries to. Some of them torpedoed straight out of the water...funny enough, those were the ones I landed. All rainbows. Today I fished brookies anyways, and I landed a good one and that was it. A bit warm and sunny for real active brookies me thinks.
  12. woohoo! 100! BEEYAHHHH, DICK CHENEY'S GREASY GRANNY HAS GOT HOLES IN HER PANTIES! BEEEEYAHHHHH Click here if the movie does not play.
  13. Damn it...thats what I thought...I'm gonna throw out a stab...a large bull that prefers a tailout undercut bank on a southeastern trib to the oldman river! Just a guess.
  14. I am so far behind...quality not quantity, my friends.
  15. Yeah, after 5-10 seconds they would get off. Thanks for the response Brian. Yeah, I think my post was a tad bit misunderstood. I'm going to keep using lighter tippets, cause I LOVE the dry fly and like using size 16 flies and smaller. Lots of dapping, or swinging little wets. All last year, I nymphed the highwood, and caught some beauts, and the dry is the funnest in my mind...anyways, thanks all for the remarks.
  16. Sorry, I modified the above post Brent. I didn't want to come across wrong. The whole "tone" thing.
  17. Yeah, heavier than mid summer is what I meant. Looks a little higher than last year though...besides the point really. was all on the dry as well...and didn't start picking up tons of risers till I put on 6x. So it makes a difference IMHO. I also think it might...just might....be easier on the fish if they're coming off anyways...just a thought.
