  2. Very nice browns. Thanks for posting.
  3. This site has been around a while, and requires a little "wading", but there's some great stuff. Hook.tv
  4. Good job Dustin! Those are SICK fish. Thanks for sharing those pics...pflueger supreme in the one shot?
  5. Says he doesn't frequent sites like this but somehow managed to mine a post from may...without scrolling through how many posts? I'm with Toolman on this one...let me guess? NFLD sportsman is who you wrote for? I read an article about pike in one issue and it mentioned holding pike by their eyes. Or how about show us your "whack and stack" gallery in every issue?
  6. HAHAHHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!
  7. No, it's just that the internet can be a place of misinformation, and the fact that the video says "sultan river" means nothing. Another perfect case of misinformation. It's the Highwood.
  8. I talked to some of the head biologists in the area, river and all tribs: CLOSED till 2016! Just fish chain lakes, gold bead, red wire, you'll do fine.
  9. I bury my catch in the wet gravel on the streambank. Then, I cull the best ones out, depending on how many babushkas are coming for dinner. Bull trout fillets go under the socks for the hike out. Extra "live squirrels" are released, little balsa wood surf boards with trebles go in my secret fly box compartment. Also make note to not use your "baitfish scentstick that looks like chapstick" as actual chapstick. Those are some of my best tips, oh and gargling hydrogen peroxide in small doses is actually safe and great on mouth sores!
  10. Yes, it was on the highwood, the whole river will be completely unfishable next season, sorry folks.
  11. If enough people see this, it should help free up a little elbow room on the highwood next year Canyon collapse
  12. First of all, I have alot of respect for anyone who knows a few mysteries of nature, and spends time in it as much as you Jay. Don't listen to the holier than thous. Did you burn fuel on the way to the river? Do you have to kill the colony of insects on the walk to the river? Do you have to squash the native grasses and crush their seeds while you sit on the bank and have lunch. Do you pursue trout and put a steel hook in his face for your own enjoyment and possibly alter his future in some way? Remember to not step off the path and tread on the butterfly for you may forever alter the course of human history. If you were kidding, sorry for the rant, if not...it's all perspective, and who says stewards of the enviroment can't touch or experience nature in a sustainable way?
  13. Garmin is the way to go right now if you ask me. Mapping is simply unsurpassed for those units, and as was said above, get a topo canada compatible unit for sure.
  14. Humble, how many different types of trout food have you eaten, any raw sucker fry yet?
  15. Huh? Flames played in NY tonight....ohhhhh.....see, I was confused....seeing as this is the Flames thread and all.
  16. Jay, good to see you drop by the other day, and again, sorry for your loss. I'm sure that's a smaller wolverine. The tail, and the leap over the stream screams predator, not goofy giant gopher. Plus you said you saw teeth. Were they pointy and sharp or bucktoothed? Great vid, lookin forward to more!
  17. LOL, I think I remember that. Good decision, we clearly have no room or need for you anyways.
  18. What a game!? Not sure what to think about that....POND HOCKEY! GO FLAMES GO
  19. An unbiased, honest comment from an oilers fan? I was beginning to think the oils next mascot was an ostrich. You're clearly slipping snakeman...come to the dark side. Tootoo still play with the preds? If so I hope he gets mauled by someone tonight. GO FLAMES GO!
