  5. An Israeli doctor says "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him looking for work in six weeks." A German doctor says "That is nothing, we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in four weeks. A Russian doctor says "In my country, medicine is so advanced that we can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have them both looking for work in two weeks." The Texas doctor, not to be outdone, says "You guys are way behind, we recently took a man with no brain out of Texas, put him in the White House for four years, and now half the country is looking for work."
  6. Dude, is there vehicle acess to alot of the places upstream of where you were fishing? Or, is the FD supposed to hump in a bunch of gear from the nearest road allowance, in order to save a life...the FD jet boat doesn't just deal with on the water situations, and regardless if it is shallow, people drown in shallow water too. I've had my ass handed to me on the forums before, and I would say this attitude might bite ya. Believe me, this is comin from a guy who knows. I'm sure you are just trying to justify your opinion, but yeah...let it go.
  7. Hey MTB...go right ahead with the facebook stuff (regarding use of my pictures)
  8. That's LIFE man. I have buddies in the FD, and I bet they will laugh their asses off when they hear about this. Not to be an ass but.......
  9. Like I said, I was stingin them and after a few headshakes...whoop, out comes the fly. They were hammering the dries to. Some of them torpedoed straight out of the water...funny enough, those were the ones I landed. All rainbows. Today I fished brookies anyways, and I landed a good one and that was it. A bit warm and sunny for real active brookies me thinks.
  10. woohoo! 100! BEEYAHHHH, DICK CHENEY'S GREASY GRANNY HAS GOT HOLES IN HER PANTIES! BEEEEYAHHHHH Click here if the movie does not play.
  11. I can play this game too!
  12. Damn it...thats what I thought...I'm gonna throw out a stab...a large bull that prefers a tailout undercut bank on a southeastern trib to the oldman river! Just a guess.
  13. I am so far behind...quality not quantity, my friends.
  14. Yeah, after 5-10 seconds they would get off. Thanks for the response Brian. Yeah, I think my post was a tad bit misunderstood. I'm going to keep using lighter tippets, cause I LOVE the dry fly and like using size 16 flies and smaller. Lots of dapping, or swinging little wets. All last year, I nymphed the highwood, and caught some beauts, and the dry is the funnest in my mind...anyways, thanks all for the remarks.
  15. Sorry, I modified the above post Brent. I didn't want to come across wrong. The whole "tone" thing.
  16. Yeah, heavier than mid summer is what I meant. Looks a little higher than last year though...besides the point really. was all on the dry as well...and didn't start picking up tons of risers till I put on 6x. So it makes a difference IMHO. I also think it might...just might....be easier on the fish if they're coming off anyways...just a thought.
  17. This is the second time I've heard you refer to this fish....you're not holding out, so that you can suprise us with a 30 inch _________ pic are you? I don't expect locations and wouldn't even want to fish "your" fish If you did, but I live for these kind of stories!
  18. I am so glad this did not happen to me...I would have done something REAL stupid. Makes for a real good story for the grandkids, 40 years from now when you'll only be able to use a hookless lure and you simply count the number of strikes...Granpappy was a foreward thinker!
  19. Ughhh...fished the highwood today. 3 to hand, and I stopped counting at 9 fish lost after 5 seconds on. I believe it is a combination of things: A real slow action rod(I like these), the fact that I was using 6X tippet and was tentative having broke off 2 earlier, the heavier current, what other excuses can I tell myself?!? I'm not kidding when I say I probably lost 15 fish! Normally, It doesn't bother me, but tommorow those cutties will PAY! MUHAHAHAHA!
  20. I know...I hate coming across big logjams...and expecting to see a decomposing body underneath...It would completely ruin my week.
  21. Don't have to ask me twice! 5th pic is the most beautiful fish I've ever caught...hybridized hybrid I think!
