  2. yeah dog spray is probably better, bear spray makes 'em run blindly into trees @ full speed causing extraneous injury or even death if they miss the trees and end up in the river.
  3. Ah hell man you shoulda seen it the day him and I went fishin', he didn't fall in much but he was either swearin' at a missed hookset on a decent fish or fishin' some poor 3" cutty outta a tree

  5. How tall are them guys? The Right Reverend Mr Bob Loblaw looks to be leanin' on a 13' rod instead of that 6'er he's always braggin' on nice pics BTW I'm jealous
  6. Never had issues with the Sage warranty department the few time I've had to use them.
  7. and they'll never begin to solve the problems until they take obscene profit out of it. Don't believe that? Look to the history of booze in NA
  8. Funny how my best fish this yr are coming right in the middle of random camping quading areas, the catching off all over the south this yr even in the areas with zero tracks and I agree, it's strictly an enforcement issue
  9. What? A crash of hippopotami?

  14. I stand corrected, Thanks. I have some familiarity with agricultural breeding programs. The fish farm rainbows would be bred and reared for growth but in reality so are the government hatchery fish, ie; the fish in Five Mile. Only thing freakish would be the the highly fertile lake they're in. I'll say one thing for certain, those boys have got the big fish dialed in.
  15. Fish farm singular and if I remember correctly the big release was well over 10 yrs ago. SERM stocked Dief with almost 500,000 RB fry in 2004 and 100,000 fry in 2005, none since.
  16. one word......JESUS!
  17. could be worse
  18. Trust a stillwater guy to set me straight
  19. 'K, trips don't grow faster just live longer. Good grazing and time yield some big fish though, SERM planted almost 600,000 RB fry back in 04-05
  20. What do you mean test tube trout? Basically the same genetics that swims in the Bow River or for that matter Bullshead
  21. http://www.fishinggeeks.net/ http://www.newstalk650.com/audio/brent-lou...t-weekend-50lbs It ain't FFin', they caught it on a rapala but holy crap, 48lbs is a big rainbow! That Def is one fertile lake.
  22. Picky fish this yr but average size is bigger, even the fish in places with zero footprints are damn picky about what dries they're gonna go for and generally you get only one shot to get it right, that said been slaying some bigguns with soft hacks. Screwed up yr fer sure, caught a spawned out black boot cutty last week, tad late in the yr.
  23. Thanks Guys, spent the day with weldin' equipment and waitin' for Ms. Jolie to show up......... got a lot of weldin' done.
