Quick dry pants/polyprop longjohns/neoprene socks/wadin' boots is what I wear for small streams from the June to September. Have for yrs, waders are a pain in the ass. Of course it does limit you to wadin' water no deeper than the length of your inseam if you don't wanna sound like you inhaled helium.

I remember a time I went fishin' and went outta my way to find a bumpy road.

I use furled leaders from 3' to 7' long for 90% of my fishing, turns over easier and accommodates my piss poor casting technique, specially in tight situations, ie: casting with just the leader out. I've pretty much quit usin' uni leaders, too limp, and lean more to mono and fluoro leaders. Only downside I can see, lay in a gross of floatant because you will go through some, mono furled get water loaded and sink after while.

Bought the bitter half a mig welder for an anniversary present once..... that was good for about 3 months of knowing what she was pissed off about....welder looks good and is handy to have in my shop though
