ÜberFly Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I got burned last time, so I ain't even gonna try!! P Quote
markd Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 a very nice specimen. Cuttbow, more of an inclination to a bow. Might be a full on rainbow, but from the background i'm sure it's got a good chance to have some cutty in it Quote
trailhead Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 My guess is "rainthroat" Nice fish nonetheless. Quote
Tungsten Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Wow thats a nice fish. Soooooo where did you catch'em...........................................I know, right in the mouth. My guess is a cutbow,i'm no pro but not all cutbows will have the orange slits. My thoughts anyway. Quote

Hawgstoppah Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Probably predominantly rainbow there. But I think it's got like 1/10th cutty in her. definately not pure on either side. Nice fish! Quote
beedhead Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 The more I look at the Pics, I'm starting to lean towards it bein a Lake Trout....From your one pic, Im pretty sure I know the spot you caught that fish...There are some biggins hang out there, along with the odd Big Bow... Quote
duanec Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 i'm no expert, but that ain't like no laker i've ever seen. have seen a wide range of colors & patterns on cut/bow hybrids. that's my guess. nice fish! if i had to i'd name him dave, or robert. Quote

fisher26 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I think it must be a bull of some sort, in which case you should of kept him... Mmm, no fish is as delicious as a bull trout caught from a pristine mountain stream. Quote

It certainly does look more like a rainbow than a cutthroat but the spots throughout its body, right up to the jaw, kind of indicate to me that it`s a cuttbow, Quote

maxwell Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 looks like a crowsnest bow wandered up another resivoir stream looking too spawn.... Quote
MMAX Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 looks like a crowsnest bow wandered up another resivoir stream looking too spawn.... That may be correct. I've caught quite a few rainbows out of that river (if that background in the2nd picture is where I think it is), that are far more silvery in color than that beast. Beautiful fish by the way. Quote
