I love being called a bastard .. it's quite a compliment..and yes we are! :)

Cool story behind the big bow...was caught on a red and white double bunny that I THINK was tied by rusty for a swap about 3 years back...not just the pattern but THE actual fly. How cool is that?

Probably done fissin now...was good.

Brian..we fish a lake on Friday and it was howling!! :P :P

where about in Chile were you?

Rio Puelo.......Miserable gravel road in for about 40 km but worth the drive......River has lots of fish--bows, browns, salmon and they´re fairly stupid or we probably wouldn´t have caught any.......I had my first rainbow on about 3 minutes after I got out of the boat!!.......Rio Puelo is about straight east of Puerto Varas and a lovely river that resembles the Bow escept that it feeds into the chuck about 10 km from where we started fishing........We had a Chilean friend who dragged his boat about half way in on the awful road and then discovered it had shifted on his trailer and punched a hole in the hull so we left it and he hired a guide and boat for us for the following day........All 3 of us fished from about 8:00 to 4:00 (the guide fished a bit too) and we ran upriver from riffle to riffle in his jon boat and wade fished..............Probably only fished about 5 miles of river.........Gorgeous......Cost us the princely sum of about $150 Canadian---our Chilean friend said the guide gave is a break because Clive and I were ¨good fly fishermen and the guide got a chance to fish because he didn´t need to help us¨¨ Apparently a Chilean could negotiate a room, food, open bar, boat and guide for about $300 cdn a day at one of the lodges here........I may be back!!.......Oh, and by the way guys, the weather has been spectacular!! (I, like Clive, enjoy being called bastardo) :)

Looks like an awesome time Clive and Al. Too bad you guys aren't back in balmy Lethbridge to enjoy all the beautiful weather we've been having *right*. shorelines are opening up Clive so you know what that means ;)

Hope you have a great trip and a safe return. Looking forward to the rest of the pics!

While you are down there say hi to my aunts and uncles. Oh yeah, don't forget to have an empanada with a glass of Casillero del Diablo.

Thanks for the good advice..........Have eaten many (perhaps too many) empenada´s and have sipped some fabulous wines but I will find your recommendation as I don´t think that has been one of our samplings..........We are headed for Santa Cruz in a couple of days and wine will be top on our agenda........What are your aunt and uncles´s names---just kidding!!.......And thanks again for the bastardo comment........:)
