birchy
Life has been just TOO crazy busy.. and with no end in sight, I've decided to give up this wonderful sport that I've just recently come to love so much! ... ... Okay, I'm kidding. It's not THAT day. But THIS day.. I was told by a fellow FFC member that I shouldn't feel like a hyprocrite, because it's a natural progression we all go through. My new Bow River Rod (I just couldn't pass up those sales!): And by the looks of things.. it's soon going to be getting a whole lot more expensive! Now if you'll excuse me.. I have to go look into buying "a honda".

Crogg
Yep, should be sweet on teh Bow. I have the 590-4, and it has become my fav. What reel and line?
bigbowtrout
Looks to be a tad to heavy for the Bow
birchy
Yep, should be sweet on teh Bow. I have the 590-4, and it has become my fav. What reel and line? BFR Dragonfly 355 with WF6F SA Sharkskin.. I'll most likely replace the BFR with a Pflueger Trion 1956 in the summer.
SilverDoctor
Great rod, you'll have fun although it looks like you'll have to pick up a smaller version for the lad.
SanJuanWorm
Don't nail it with a split shot on a messed up cast. This will not fair well for you. Nice rod.

toolman
Nice rod Birchy, but.... where's the bottom handle? hahahaha... Congrats! That lad's looking good! Must take after his mom...
tgo
I think you'll like this rod, I use the exact same one when nymphing the Bow. That extra 1/2 foot really makes nymphing a pleasure. I tried out like 8 different 6-weights before deciding on this one, great price for a great rod.
birchy
ggp/crogg/tgo - Excellent! I'm looking forward to getting out there with it! Silverdoctor - ha! maybe I can rig up just the tip section somehow! SJW - Sounds like the voice of experience there? Toolman - Some day.. some day. and surprisingly enough.. he's got all dad's looks, and all mom's personality!

Ayr
Good for you Birchy, Nice choice; I picked up the ten weight in that series a few months back and it has performed well on large pike for me. Enjoy!! Ayr.
