alhuger Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Wow, those were fantastic fish, congrats! What do brookies that size fight like compared to a bow of similar size? Quote
lorney Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Nice brookies. Definatley got to get up there one of these days. Not just for the good fishing but the scenery and the fact that a cell phone probably doesn't work up there. What kind of patterns were they taking? Quote
DonnieM Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Great pics man, thanks for sharing. Fat brookies! Quote

esleech Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Those are lifetime fish...crazy to think there are thousands in there. Whats the primary feed? Suckers? Quote
wongrs Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 i'm pretty sure that if i caught one like this i'd *hit my pants bigtime. Quote
Din Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 thanks all, im still fathomed by the size and quantity of the fish in that place. Esleech, Primary feed is leeches and scuds this time of year. saw a few sculpin kicking around if you looked for them. Ayr, that is jazz ya Alhuger, Id say that the males don't fight all that hard but the females put on a good fight but not quite what a bow that size would do imo. Lorney, leeches of any sorts were pulling out fish, just had to get it down to where they were holding. Quote
biffchan Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Those are some awsome pics! Just out of curiosity, what part of the lake were you guys fishing? One of those pics looks like the mouth of chizel creek, and I assume the others were all pretty far down the west end of the lake? Reason I'm asking is because I made the hike into there two weeks ago only to get completly skunked. Quote
