SanJuanWorm
I washed all my gear the night before driving home. The Islander needs grease bad for the drag.

LynnF
The colours on those fish are awesome. Sounds like you had a great trip and with the C$ being almost at US$ par I bet that $375 was an easy pill to swallow. Well worth the money if you ask me - and as you've well found out. Cold water huh....I'll skip the shrinkage question If you're after some good grease for the reel, get some stuff called "Hot Sauce". That stuff kicks ass. Took our 5+ year old unmaintenanced and trashed reels and turned them into brand new this year.
birchy
Great report SJW!! And great pictures! Those fish are gorgeous. I think maybe CDock and I are going to have to start thinking about making a Montana trip. The topic has come up before actually. Curious how much the whole trip cost you including gas, food, and accomodations? Just so I have an idea. You can PM me if you want.
SanJuanWorm
Whole trip of 3 days was less than 1000 bucks USD. Worth every penny.

monger
Dave, last time I was there we met some dudes from the east coast who were carrying they're .44 pistols because they were in Montana grizzly country. Pretty funny since the Bighorn flows through an area more like Vulcan than the Crowsnest.
snakeman
Gorgeous fish, awesome report. Looks like a very fertile stream. Nice little reality check for some of us that the Bow isn't the center of the rainbow/brown universe.
