BigFoamy
That road is in typically rough shape to begin with. Im sure with all the snow this year that its pretty bad. If it stays this cold and continues to snow, who knows, maybe June...arghhh
northfork
They don't want people on it when it's greasy, for safety and because agressive tires will chew it up worse. Good news is its a south facing descent so will not take long for it to break up and dry.
fishteck
There are plans to replace the access road later in the year. A two month job starting in August or September. Access will be shut down once again.

fishteck
The plan is for a completely new footprint for an all weather road that will meet county constructions standards to meet 40 Km/hour. No more patching up the ****t-hole of a cattle trail to the flats. The plan is for MacKinnons' Flats to become a Provincial Park with enhanced amenities. Details of the road construction will follow later.

bcubed
It's tentatively planned for next year, but will depend if they get funding or not. They had the funding cut for this year, which is why it didn't happen.
jasonvilly
I think a lot of these projects are on hold until the BRAP is released (Bow River Action Plan). From my understanding it should be released shortly, which will hopefully provide the direction and timelines that many of these projects will take.

I’m not sure how much this relates to the BRAP entirely as they are having safety issues with the road itself, and more use then expected. Guess we’ll see
