SanJuanWorm Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 There are minnow tubs littering the shore up from the pedestrian bridge. As well as bell sinkers laying on the rocks where they have reclaimed the shore. If anyone catches this a-hole I'll personally reward them. Quote
BigFoamy Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Its an ongoing issue down there for sure, both sides! Ive never seen anyone but, you can tell they've been there. Quote
muha Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 These guys operate late at night. There are three different groups. One at Douglas Dale deer foot bridge, by pedestrian bridge and also below cliffs on 130th Avenue. Minnow tubs are always present at these locations. Quote

troutfriend Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Call RAP. Note that this location is likely under the parks officers juristion (Alberta environment and parks) and not fish and wildlife (solicitor general) - they recently split again... But this may be helpful for the operator at RAP in sending out the information. More calls= more action. Officers are strapped for manpower, but specific locations, frequency, and gear found can be helpful if they are going to a common location. 2 Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 I live within a 1 minute walk to the pedestrian bridge. I may patrol with my baseball bat after dark. 3 Quote
Ricinus Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 You may want to take some bear spray in case you run into a wild animal.. Mike 1 Quote

jtaylor Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Anyway we can petition for the Bow to be a fly fishing river only!! Quote
bcubed Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 ... Why? It's already a no-bait river, how could banning a legal way of fishing change anything? Quote
BurningChrome Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 ... Why? It's already a no-bait river, how could banning a legal way of fishing change anything?Yeah, and it still wouldn't stop the poachers. Quote
Gil Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Anyway we can petition for the Bow to be a fly fishing river only!! Choice of fishing style shouldn't come into. Poaching is the issue. Public caning is the real solution.... Quote
