Caught a nice Cutty last week and after releasing him/her, the Cutty decided to recover 3 feet in front of me, took advantage and thought I'd get some underwater footage... Thought I would share as I thought it was pretty cool...

Cheers... Jeff..

Is it really amazing? Those poor things don't get a break from the day the river clears up in June/July till it shuts in October. Wonder how big they would get with a draw system or a every-other year break... Fish with a person-caused injury should be the exception. Sad to see that it has become the rule.

Great fish Jeff. Nice to see one with all his mouth parts intact. It's hard work for a fat, lazy Cutt to struggle against a powerful dude from the Hat!

Haha, yup us Hat Guys are power houses, LMAO, In That stretch of the Upper Oldman, I never caught any mangled Cutts or Bows, Story goes like this- Woke up Bright and early, was about 5am ish, already parked close to the river, made Breaky, then thought, "I should hit that Stretch that I grew up on, and basically learned to drift a dry, (I have a soft spot for that water) before it gets Busy" In my teens I would go there on a weekend and maybe see one, maybe 2 guys all day, if no one at all, now on a weekday, well, and on a weekend, well..... Anywho, hike in, have the stretch to myself, awesome, fishin was good, caught a few, unfortunately a lot of the Cutts and Bulls were disfigured to say the least, one Cutt I caught I called him snaggletooth, Not sure how he was still alive, tuff Cutt... Then I see 2 guys looking down, Im thinkin "There is only room here for me" They disappear, next thing, I see them coming down, Im like WTF? Then before I know it they are casting beside me, not a Hello or Hi, Nothin.... Now Im pissed, I would never do that to anyone, I avoid fishing up or down river if I think there might be someone there, and thats a reason I do a lot of walking. I give casters their Space and solitude, just how I would like it, thats me anyways.... So they finally go down river after quite sometime, I was ready to leave,as the fishing slowed and was ready to move, but planted myself there. wasn't till after they crossed the river down stream a few times and they were a good ways away, I packed er' in, I stayed Just cuz I knew they wanted that spot and they hole roached me, and was goin to make them work to get back up river to where I was fishin..... Its getting worse all the time on Lakes, Rivers and Streams, not much Etiquette left anymore.... So thats when I took hiked back, drove a ways, parked and walked till I seen no more foot prints and kept goin, I like my solitude when casting alone, and don't mind bumping into people if friendly and have etiquette. Anyways, thats where the Vid was taken, and the fishin was good....

Next day on the Crow, was fishing a spot that not a lot of people go, (another teenage memory spot) After a while, I See 2 guys down river, they see me as well and Im thinkin "not again" Yup, next thing I know they are right beside 40 feet away, kinda around a little bend, that I was fishing in the 1st place when they seen me, buddy was standing right beside my backpack and my back up rod that I had rigged up with a Streamer, I walked over after he moved down stream a few yards and grabber my gear..... So ya, was pissy 2 days in a row..... After that I hit the Back, Back, Back country... Sometimes if I think it might get busy, Ill leave a note on my window, gone up or down stream, not just for me, but for others as well, that want some solitude....

Ya there are far too many people out there with little or no respect towards others! No doubt about it the farther you are willing to walk the better it is, however that is still no guarantee of solitude.
