You would be surprised how many times you may have been watched through Bino's most CO's won't bother checking you for a license because if you have the money to buy a nice rod and reel , goretex waders etc.... they figure you probably have a 20$ for the License

I'm wondering how you guys are constantly breaking rods(hitting rod with weights or bead-heads-open up your loop) I use T.F.Os for boat rods with all sorts of skill level anglers using them and have only replaced 2 sections in ten years, and thats with their basic rods(40 bucks at the time) M.K.M.-you can get Springbrook to replace the feet but its pricey and I do not think it would be warranty. Probably not worth it if you have put lots of days on the waders. Money would be better spent on new ones and get a thin pair of neoprene socks to wear over your feet as this will save wear and tear on the feet which are usually the first thing to go on waders due to sand,gravel and compression. Must be just about time to head west!

One would be surprised at how well salt water patterns work ie.-clousers etc.... its not what you use its how you use it

Snakeman: If you get a chance to try casting a Sage SLT at the Expo at Spruce Meadows I'm sure that Dee Chitani from Sage will be there with a full selection. I have a 490 SLT and its great for making those delicate casts on flat water. Cheers BBH

I have always found that the silver colored (Loch levin) browns in the bow are much scrappier and more accrobatic than the German(yellow) browns which tend to dog it out and roll a lot not unlike Bullies although every once in a while one will totally fool you and fight like the dickens.

Not a big loss particularily on lakes where a noisy reel is like a dinnerbell that brings every boat within hearing distance to you which is not preferable be happy with your loss.

If you want to escape the crowds try biking in to the very lower reaches no crods and even a few cutbows for a change of pace and a good workkout as if the climb out isn't enough- great pics- pentax? Cheers BBH
