My rod tube fell apart for the aforementioned Streamdance so I e-mailed G Loomis USA and they referred me to Shimano, Canada. I phoned them and the guy was a moron. I emailed G Loomis USA again and their rep apologized for the Canadian service and sent me a new tube. Sometimes going to the top is better. That was the service I expected.

That warranty is great IFthey have the rod in stock. If not...It could be a wait!!

I broke my tip in Sept last year and brought it to a local flyshop for replacement. It's a Streamdance GLX HLS 4pce 5wt. I received my replacement rod 6 months later. $75. I spoke to the rep at the Fly Fishing exposition and he explained that there may have been an inventory shortage. They have some warranty options which you can check but it took 6 months to get my replacement rod. Not a big deal as I wasn't fishing. I would have hated to have broken it in June. I hope you get better service than me....can't get worse!! I too have a Mazda B4000....must be the truck!!

I carry an airhorn in bear country and "toot" it every now and then. Don't accidentally kneel on it inside the back of your enclosed truck box. Scared the s##t outta me!!

I find Hiawatha a little crammed, but it is convenient and showers are nice.

I was just wondering, with Canada Day falling on a Thursday this year, what are employers giving people for days off? Do you get a long weekend? I work in a pub (Rose & Crown) and I just wanted to know if there will be many people around next weekend. If you just get Canada Day off, It could be worse. Quebec celebrates St. Jean Baptiste Day on June 24. therefore you would get 2 Thursdays off in a row and no weekend in August. Now that would suck!!

I'm at Racehorse Creek Prov Rec Area (28k N of Coleman on FTR #40) every Sun-Tues. There are no hookups. There's lots of room for trailers but they are not pull thru sites so you will need to back in. Some sites are easier than others. Come down and say Hi. Lundbreck Falls E of Crowsnest Pass is another option. They have sites specifically for trailers with power hookups. Here's a link to all the sites in that area. http://www.rockymountaincamping.ca/

How thick? You can get 2" waffle foam at Walmart in the camping Dept. I think Canadian Tire too. My guess is $30-$40 for a double width

I am off to my trailer at Racehorse on Sunday or Monday and will spend the days leading up to Wednesday getting my gear ready. Depending on conditions, I plan to fish the Oldman/Racehorse. It was a mess on the weekend but dropping and no rain forecasted after Friday. Fingers are crossed!! I plan to fish Wed and Thur, work Fri-Sat and return and fish Sun - Tues!! What's everyone else doing?

I got to my trailer on Sunday after leaving it for 2 weeks and was horrified to discover some leakage. It is an old 17' Vanguard with a metal roof. The was water leakage at both ends and throuigh the main ceiling vent. This caused some very soggy sleeping pads on the rear bed. I dried everything out as much as I could. Over my three days there we had scattered showers and the only noticeable leaking was at the vent. I left the trailer with a "Band Aid" solution of duct tape over the seams fore and aft and a tarp over the vent. I will be returning Sunday ready to tackle my problem and here is where I need advice. What materials do you recommend? What tools will I need? Any other tips? Please help me fix the "Cutty Hut"!! Al
